Clearly some managers work better in certain environments more than others. Frank extracted the maximum from a group at Brentford that you wouldn't have said were star names. They worked hard as well which is the part I particularly like.
Maybe working with pre Madonna Spurs players who all think too much of themselves and on huge money isn't for him.

The man has been demoralised by his time at Spurs. He needs a long break before he is ready to go again. Maybe in the summer but not now.

I agree , the decision for the moment is he stays .It will not help our cause if there's booing and what not .
I was up for him going .

He made his bed.....fans are right to be disgruntled.

He's buggering off.....Parish isn't buggering off.

Why ask for loyalty when you get none....I won't blame fans for being pissed off.

If Glasner doesn't want boos he better stop whining and start winning......He gets paid millions.

I hope so to. I think a lot of what Glasner has said has made a lot of sense and I do not blame him for being angry that he was told at 10:30 on Friday not to pick Guehi. Despite negotiations having taken place for several days. Would it have hurt to tell Glasner as soon as negotiations started that Guehi may not be at the club come Saturday? Instead of letting him spend all week planning with Guehi in the team?
This season I have started watching the press conferences they are an education, where Glasner goes into a lot of detail and one thing that is very obvious he is extremely loyal to the core group of players. I think a lot of these claims that he has lost the dressing room are pure invention to justify an argument.
 
What happens if Glasner picks the same XI against Chelsea as he did yesterday, in the usual system, they are very poor again and we are losing, but he once again makes no subs and no changes? Perhaps he just sits there in the dugout, and says and does very little?

Yes. Or if he makes a sub or two, but there is a sense he is simply going through the motions and is somewhat disinterested? I wonder how the club would handle that? Particularly if it's more of a feeling or a suspicion than anything they can prove.

it would be more damage to his reputation now he is looking for a job

do the people who run and own big clubs, multi billion pound organisations, want someone with Glasner's current standard of behaviour responsible for their clubs fortunes?

You're probably right, but you could make much the same point about his behaviour yesterday, and it didn't stop him!
 
I remember how he behaved when he was manager of Frankfurt. He was a gentleman in his first year, but suddenly became aggressive in his second year.

His repeatedly expressed his anger with outbursts in the press conferences following matches vs Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund,Hoffenheim.After losing 4-0 to Dortmund, he said, "Dortmund brings on Niklas Süle, we bring on Dario Gebuhr."
He was 20 years old

He would say things like, "We don't have any players we can substitute," and "The reason the players are tired is because the front office isn't making any reinforcements," and he claimed he was fighting against the front office to protect the players.Because of this, he was strongly supported by the key players.
 
What a cynical and nasty man he is, trying to get the sack and have a nice 2m holiday, with 4 months to go, and 95m euros spent, does he really expect new signings, does he really expect Guehi to leave for nothing, a lying drama queen, maybe he will be nominated for a BAFTA, sell Mateta, play Uche, will he purposely try not to win the conference league, would he want palace to be in the Europa League next year, i don't think he would, he would like Palace to end the season poorly so he can say, not my fault, the key to this season is the Feb 19th, i would not like Glasner in charge for that game, all trust is gone, Muñoz, Sarr, Kamada, Cardines and even Doucoure could be, we need someone in charge who wants to beat HSK Zrinjski Mosta, a team whose squad value is 7.8m euros, if Paddy, Powell and Kiely were in charge, at least you can be sure they want to win the game

So far as I can tell, all Glasner is really guilty of is letting his emotions get the better of him, leading to some petulant behaviour and ill-advised post-match comments. It's not ideal at a time when the fans are reeling, but I think people are getting a bit carried away with the pile-on. We've had managers like Pulis and Dowie who properly screwed us. When everything calms down, I imagine the assessment will be that the club messed up its transfer business this year and could have handled sales better, and Glasner should have at least given some of the subs and youth players more chance.

If we don't win the Conference League then I think both parties will have to accept some of the blame. I still hold out some hope that relationships can be smoothed over and somehow Glasner can finish the season on a high, but in honesty, his comments on Saturday surely make that almost impossible.

You do wonder what players like Uche think hearing that there is nothing on the bench.
 
Whilst the press are reporting that the club has decided to stick with Glasner for the rest of the season, that is surely a situation to be kept under review.

For one thing, the team are playing very poorly. For another, the managers system is no longer necessarily that which is best suited to our playing staff. Plus, he's not exactly spreading happiness and sunshine around the place. He seems to have presented it as him and the players in one side with the club on the other, who knows what damage that's doing behind the scenes?

Finally though, he might well do it all again next time we lose. Then what?

Warning - total speculation follows

Perhaps during the meeting with the club yesterday Oliver was gently walked through the terms of his contract and what the non-disparagement terms mean and how he could be in considered in breach of them and therefore his contract and if a ruling went against him exactly how expensive that might be for him? Maybe a suggestion of having a chat with Tony Pulis was floated? Who knows, a reminder if he is so unhappy he could simply resign? Though of course he wouldn't be due any compensation under that scenario.

To wrap things up a suggestion that maybe his best course of action would be to watch his mouth and do his job like a professional, pick up some points, win the conference league and leave with his held high and reputation enhanced.
