Glasner said he agreed with Parish back in October not to mention the fact that he would not be signing a new contract.
What is unclear today is whether Parish was on board about today’s announcement or whether he was he blindsided.
I recall at the backend of last year Parish was asked about Glasner’s future and said discussions were ongoing and he had a good dinner out with Glasner when the contract was discussed.
At the time many in here reading between the lines thought Parish sounded downbeat about Glasner staying.
Not really surprising if Parish already knew Glasner was going.
None of this really matters now, but it might do if results fail to improve and the inevitable finger pointing and blame apportioning starts.
There is a part of me that feels that Glasner will not see out the season.

We won the cup so Thank you but it took him awhile to get going when he first got here. He had a s*** start to last season and its fell to bits so far this season.
I have a sneaky feeling that the new man is lined up for the summer and OG is lined up for Man U. That is the only thing that makes sense to me. I have a feeling that OG has always seen his trajectory as heading towards a big club and I'm not sure the butterfly tactic would continue once he's found one.
Venners was another who saw his end destination at a top club. We were just a station on the line.

Glasner is a born liar, he stood infront of the press and said that he was going to discuss with Parish about a new contract at the end of January, what a tosser.

I reckon I’m on the side of those who think we should kick him out the club straight away as I can’t see him doing anything positive for the club.

the article on our home page sums it up perfectly - Parish lost Glasner's trust last summer. But I can't see how he can continue to manage the team now he is going? I think he'll be at Man U well before the end of the season - and if you go back to the match before Ollie's first, away at Everton, it was Paddy McCarthy who set us up with three at the back in the Glasner system - he'll do till the summer, has the trust of the players and internal appointments can bring vital continuity, look at Keith Andrew, Gary O'Neill at Bournemouth or way back Tony Barton at Villa.

If you watch the Sky half hour long special on Glasner where they take comments from the important people in Glasner’s life, past and present you’ll note that they refer to him being super ambitious and never happy to sit in one place for long.
It’s pretty obvious this is exactly how he has treated us and with that in mind I really don’t see the point in letting him hang around any longer than necessary.

I tend to agree. It puts Parish in a spot, because if he was told in October that OG was leaving after honouring his contract but could it all be kept under wraps, and the players are none the wiser, therefore when the news does finally break it would seem natural for at least some of them to feel that they have been misled, Glasner having been asked numerous times on camera if any of the rumours about him were true. If trust has been lost, and after that Macclesfield performance I suspect it has, then Glasner should go soon as.

I suspect he will run into a brick wall at any of the big clubs. None of them are content with counter attacking football and Glasner shows no signs of knowing anything else. He can motivate and improve fitness but play different formations isn’t his way.
He could earn a lot, and spend a lot more, at United but for how long?
In the meantime we will quietly move on. Lose some, acquire some, bring some through and get the new stand ready for the next phase in our history. Steadying the ship for the next 18 months, mid table for this and next season being realistic aims now.
