He’s given an interview saying he was at fault in the summer for insisting on a small squad as he didn’t appreciate that contact injuries were more common in the PL and there’s no winter break for the players. Maybe he’s realising he’s got a decent project here.

I don't buy it when he says that he underestimated the likelihood of having problems in the middle of winter with a decimated squad and many injured players. Every reasonably interested football fan knows how tough the PL is and, above all, that there is no winter break, which makes it impossible to regain strength during four weeks without games. I think he rather underestimated the British press, which is making a big deal out of a flippant ‘We should have brought more players into the squad’. In Austria and Germany, no one would have made such a fuss if a manager, pi$$ed off after an unnecessary defeat, pointed out that he also has limitations that are beyond his control.If he now says that he underestimated injury risks, it doesn't really matter to him in the end. Either way, it won't change the decisions made in the summer, whoever wanted what.

Is there a better project out there?
He is working in the premier league (self proclaimed best league in the world)
He is working with a mid to lower team that is ambitious (although with limitations)
He has already had success in winning the worlds oldest cup competition and Charity shield.
The club is looking to build a shiny new stand and increase revenue.
The club has an amazing (relatively) new academy (still haven’t seen any rewards, but believe they will come now the u21 are playing the same system)
He has a squad (albeit small) that he loves working with and he has a free hand to pretty much do what he wants.
He was never under any pressure despite the poor start to last season!
I’m not sure he will get that any many other clubs, especially the big boys.
Or that all could be how I see it through my rose tinted palace glasses.

Can we stop posting about we should change our formation. We are not changing away from the set up of 2 years where all first teamers know their roles to a new one with zero prep or training. Madness

Surely this is Glasners big chance, in charge of a team that could win a European trophy, could gain Champions league football, a squad fully trained in his methods, totally believing in him, will he ever get in this position again, it will not be easy or quick to change clubs to a positón he is in, if ever, he is not stupid.

You'd hope so. There might also be some reluctance from clubs to employ a manager who only intends staying for a couple of years - enough managers fail at big clubs without potentially losing one who's doing well after investing in the players he needs to fit his system.

Surely OG and Parish should be looking at Europa League qualification. Via Conference, very realistic, FA cup - long shot or even league, long shot.

The league at this point should be respected, but the Trophy's to play for should be top priority... We are defending champions, so let's not give it back that easy...
