Glasner Out

He seems pretty disappointed with the club just being happy staying up. I'd be pretty ecstatic with a European cup and survival, Glasner, lower your ambitions for this season, take a page out of big ange's book, forget the league, win the conference league, then go off and live out your ambitions somewhere else. Thanks in advance.

Pulis. Do we like him?

He did an incredible job and none of what has followed would have happened if it weren't for him

No, as a person I do not like him. No, I do not like his football philosophy. For what he did for Palace I bloody love him.

Then what happened was that he left in a way that caused the maximum damage to Crystal Palace. He was sued and lost and had to pay us millions.

I can't think of another time when a Crystal Palace manager left while attempting to wreak havoc - oh hold on - and I'm not thinking of Venables

No ambitious manager who wants to ply his trade at the top level will want to join us in that case. Only someone who wants a steady wage, doing enough not to get the sack. That means boring survival football and no ambition when we get to a certain points tally each season. No thanks.

Yes, it's why the chairman loved Roy Hodgson so much!

Remind us of that story again please?
Pulis said there had been a meeting attended by himself, the chairman and a couple of players when a deal regarding his severance was agreed. Steve was able to prove to the Judges satisfaction that it was impossible as he was having his hair done, a lengthy process and he was not at the club at the time Pulis claimed.

We really ain’t.
If West Ham keep up their points per game to the end of the season they will end up on 29 points. We are currently on 28. 2 wins and the 14 defeats for us (which will never happen) they would have to go on a ridiculous run to catch us. Also there’s 3 teams between us and them. Sh*t situation at the club at the moment , but let’s not make things up aye.
12th again probably.

2 days ago we were 125/1 to go
down. Today we are 33/1. After our next 2 games we could be 10/1. Be under no illusion, we are in a spot of bother.

From the journalist Martin Samuel and worth a read as it sets out Parish's view on the problems that clubs like Palace face. The big clubs don't want to invite others in to join the party.

It’s a sad state of affairs .
Smaller clubs uncover and polish the gems the bigger clubs might of missed out on .
It’s no problem for them as the smaller club will develop them .
Always circling they then swoop in and take apart a team that might of won the odd cup here and there .
I’ve always wondered if we had been bought by zillion airs from UAE the stadium rebuilt to Tottenhamesque proportions and becoming one of the top 6 vultures ,how this would sit with many of the fans .

I’ve just got a sky notification saying we’re considering sacking him, although you don’t have to be some sort of guru to predict that, my guess is he’ll be gone before it gets dark today

I've slept on it. And I'm even more of the opinion to let glasner go now. He clearly doesn't want to be here (just like the players) and it's the same story with every club he has managed.

Get someone in this week who is motivated enough to give the players a kick up the back side. 3 wins to stay up in the league and try win the conference league and we take it from there.
It's not as simple as that.

Like it or not, I think it's more disruptive to change manager at this point.

Of course, if results continue as they have been then ot becomes anoth

I understand why people want to hear from Parish, but personally I hope he keeps his cards close to his chest, as usual.

Every mug running every club from Manchester United to West Ham to Spurs has taken to mistaking running a football club for politics. Everything is done in the open, it's all just food for the vultures, and only makes things worse.

Keep it in house, block out the noise, make calm decisions.

I remember very well the league winning Leicester side being totally dismantled (with the exception of Steptoe), the season after they won.

It was almost like the top clubs had a meeting and said, “they ain’t doing that again”, before buying all their best players.
