Glasner Out

I'm fairly sure that the players read things in the media.

So they will have been aware of the comments made by Glasner towards us, the fans.

There's a degree of deflection in some of what he's been saying, and I took his '' humble '' utterances as an insult. Indeed, a fan base with less humility would have made for a really toxic environment yesterday.

Under the circumstances then I think the HF banner was him getting off lightly.

Glasner has now succeeded in alienating the supporters. But it hasn't and won't affect the relationship between the fans and the players.

Perhaps his words have been mis-interpreted.
On occasions in interviews he looks to the side for guidance as to what terminology to use.

Glasner for me is now the caretaker manager .It's how I see him until the new man is installed ,a manager without portfolio until the end of the season .

I'm not sure how many support staff Glasner brought with him but ditching Glasner now would also mean we lose at least a couple maybe 3 assistant coaches ,the fitness coach and his assistants and anyone else that tagged along
The implications of that are unclear depending on who comes in but if Parish is looking for a caretaker until the end of the season the package of Glasner and his backroom staff looks a lot better than say Paddy on his own with Dean Kiely .

Parish isn't stupid and though likely unhappy with the situation sees that the best course of action is to hobble on till the end of May

I agree with many of the comments posted on Glasner’s behaviour and how we should have given him the boot after his post Sunderland outburst.

We didn’t and clearly we won’t now - so I just don’t see any benefit to our players by creating a horrible negative atmosphere. It’s not going to help them perform is it?

Let’s just get behind the boys and move on.

Interesting points. But you'd also wonder how much effort they're putting in now wouldn't you? Everyone knows they and the boss are leaving.

Yes, of course he has a disadvantage when he argues, like most people who are not speaking in their native language. But no, his sarcastic remarks were intentional and did not just happen. He has always been a bit conceited and teacher-like. Even the Austrian press is unexpectedly critical of his statements, which is rather rare. He has probably already annoyed quite a few people there by repeatedly referring to himself in the third person like Caesar or explaining to the public what he tells his children. Nobody is interested in this because they are not his children and most likely do not feel like they were. But I forgive him for all that as long as he delivers.
