Fulham vs. Crystal Palace match thread

He claimed he never saw the handball (view blocked) and yet I have seen the incident from a TV camera behind the goal there is no obstruction to his view. Okay it would be difficult to award a a goal from his position, so where was the lino? But the hand ball was unforgivable.
The reason he is so blatantly anti-Palace is that we have continually reminded him of his mistakes in this match.

It's like Strictly Come Dancing on here sometimes. Boo hiss, someone said something negative.

The fact is that we have had poor second halves in our last few games. We scraped past a poor Burnley, got outplayed by a very average United and were just a little bit too canny for a struggling Fulham.

Of course, it's likely because of our schedule, but nevertheless, our passing v Fulham was dreadful for a long period.
The players are giving it everything, and you can't ask for more, but don't dress it up.

I'll be very surprised if we don't get battered by City on Sunday, but the big game this week is Shelbourne. That's the must win. We don't want unnecessary games in Europe with our limited squad.
Our current position is partly down to general inconsistency in the league. We are highly unlikely to qualify for the Champions League or Europa via that route.

Our best chance is more signings in January. Uche for me, looks like a Hippo on roller skates. I'll be happy to be proved wrong. Let's see what happens.
I thought our passing was good, loads of one touch interplay, which can't always come off, and we were less reliant on hoofing it up to Mateta, and Mitchell stepped up so well in Munoz's absence. It was clear v United that we ran out of energy second half, and their manager said the same and instructed his players to press harder and play quicker. In the circumstances the grubby win at Burnley was an excellent one - I'm not booing or hissing, but a few posters threw their toys out when
Fulham equalised, and are struggling to put them back after the tactical changes led to us dominating and winning. I just think there's far more positives than negatives that's all, and our latest performance and league position surely backs that up.

Just a normal football match then. 🙂

I thought we would get beat, so I was very pleased to come away with any sort of win.

You can't really moan when you are 4th but tougher times are ahead I fear.

i like the opening photo on HOL opening page, the Fulham Goalie looks right on the ball 🤣

I thought we looked much brighter and energetic against Fulham and our passing (Wharton) was much sharper than the Burnley game

Agree need some reinforcements in January but i would never write palace off under Glasner.

But not this season! Likely to be nearer 40 than 30 IMO.
You’re right, last season was a freak with three teams that were that bad. With all three promoted teams looking like they might more than make a fight of it, it’ll probably be back to needing 34/35 and 40 to make sure……..or to avoid finishing bottom, you might only need 3🤣……poor old wolves

It was interesting to see comments from Glasner that despite most of us thinking the team looked fatigued against Burnley they had the fourth highest running stats and distance covered that week. It does highlight what an excellent job the coaching and fitness team have done. Under previous setups we'd have had eight players out after a light jog. This month is going to be tough going but we're showing a real knack for grinding out results, which should help to build mental strength. Hopefully the run outs for Clyne and Uche will help boost their confidence too.

Plus the one main motivator for the players to keep energy levels up is winning. It breeds confidence and momentum. After the last couple of results they will want to keep that going. Couple that with even the very best teams being wary of us right now and we can definitely press this advantage. Hopefully until January when the cavalry arrives

Was going to react with a 👍, but then I saw that last sentence, and it turned to a 🤣.
