Forest Predictions

we have sold too many good players. If we lose against Forest then my predictions, for the rest of the season, are dire

Well, two!! Olise and Andersen, I think it’s more of a problem that none of the new players have made an impact yet

Hard to take that we are in this perilous state after all the achievement and optimism at the end of last season with many talking about another top ten finish or even qualification for a place in Europe this season.

Now cemented in the bottom three and should we lose our next two games and fail to beat Wolves, could very well find us propping up the bottom of the table.

Just how has this managed to happen in just a handful of games??

I get the feeling there's a squad problem. Just guessing, I'd say it centres on Mateta's transfer/ contract offer. He has looked sulky all season.

I believe that the New York Palace fans all get together at The Football Factory on match days
That's right, it's 6 West 33rd street (between 5th & 6th Avenue) - downstairs of a bar called Legends.

Andy Cole usually looked as though his Christmas presents had been given away but he still scored a few.

Hardly perilous, it’s October and we’ve played 7 games, if we’re still in the bottom 3 in April that’ll be perilous

Forest are a Nuno side so tend to play on the break, without Gibbs White they may not find it so easy to dominate and hopefully we can pick them off. There's some clickbait that Doucoure might be available, but Lerma and Wharton in the middle would be fine with Hughsey as back up, we just need to find the right attacking combo and very soon, starting Monday night would be nice, I like the idea of Eze and Kamada behin Eddie and JP. COYP!

How would yo have them players line up 4-2-2-2, he has played it?

Next 3 are Forest (A), Spurs (H), Wolves (A).

Anything less than 4 points and we'll be feeling quite uncomfortable. 6 or more starts to repair the damage. 6 would leave us with 9 points after 10 games.

On that basis, it makes Forest a can't lose but we really need a win. The international breaks often act as form resetters. Having 2 weeks for Eze, Mateta, Sarr and Nketiah to work together is a big opportunity that we have to capitalise on. Hopefully Munoz isn't too bad.
Hopefully we will look better than we did after the last international break against Leicester when we were asleep for 50 minutes or so. In fact that break didn't help us at all, as we drew at Chelsea before it. Have another one to look forward to next month as well. Not sure if we have a good record after these breaks, going back before this season ? Seem disruptive but as you say some of our key players were not involved this time, so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Good point. Whilst we didn't pay a transfer fee for Kamada think his salary might be busting the seams. Praying we don't have a Max Meyer Mark 2 here.

Maybe Glasner addressed it by dropping Mateta last time out. When he came on for Nketiah, I thought he looked more up for it than he had all season.
As for Kamada, we have to think he has pedigree/ experience whereas Meyer was always going to be a risk. My worry for Kamada is the physical nature of English football. He doesn't seem like the sort of player to press and worry opponents which is difficult for us because neither is Eze. What I would say about Kamada is it does look like he can make a decent pass, and seems to have some technique. He's looked no better than a squad option so far however. And he's made the odd mistake/ got caught out.

I would like to see us do that. And keep the back four defensive, use Eze as a roaming attacking midfielder and Kamada as a more conventional attacking midfielder. Play quite narrow and a bit more direct.
Yes, i would certainly be happier with that line, everybody playing in their best position, Scandalous 😉

I get the impresion with Kamada is that his strength is linking play in a passing team, we tend to get the ball to the forwards quickly, even more so last season with Andersen drilling the ball through midfield, if he's used in some forward pivotal role where he has options to feed Eze, the strikers or Munoz then he might become more effective. He looks like a squad player atm but his form in Europe suggests he's much better than that, and so does his salary!

Neither side has been scoring or conceding that many which points towards few goals and a game decided by narrow margins, but I'm going to ignore that and go for 3-4 to us with an end-to-end game of absolute carnage with Palace coming from behind to win. Maybe a couple of red cards.
