Farewell Eze?

Agree with all of this for 99% of players & you’ll see from my earlier posts I am very much anti the Management Team (above Glasner) after our massive regression from the FA Cup Final BUT I will caveat it that Eze is about the only player who is bigger than this deal.

Because he scored a winner in our first ever major trophy win, he will be talked about for decades. If it was literally any other player though, everything you said I agree with. Of course they should train (looking at you Isaak). I want a new job to, shall I just stop doing my current one and expect payment each month until I find a new job?
For sure, he now has legendary status. Going forward, he is the enemy as far as football is concerned.
Outside of that, he seems like a decent chap who has been a good character at the club.
I wish him well personally, but not on the pitch when we are playing Arsenal.

Eze was languishing at QPR? He was improving at a good rate. He was named in the championship team of the year before we bought him.

I remember us knowing how good Eze and Olise were at the time and QPR rejected our first offer of £12 mil. It took £17 mil to buy him.

I don’t support players once they leave us but I understand they’re going to go and I expect they remain professional, we get good money for them and use the money well. Until perhaps our ownership changes this is how it is.
Anyone at QPR is languishing.

Maybe we should write it into the agreement that he must take penalties against us?

Glasner will probably put him on for the last five minutes. Hoping he scores a blinder before waving him good bye. ⚽👋

150 million is nothing for 3 owners with a combined wealth of 17 billion, I still don't think Parish has been completely transparent with us about the stand.

I can accept PSR prevents our owners spending money on the squad, I can accept we will lose players to the big teams or just in general, thats football but if our owners can't even improve our stadium, what's the actual point of them owning us.
I have no idea were your figures come from combined its 10b at best , the rest is business wealth , two different things , and even then that 10 billion is tied up

Funny though that is, what’s the difference between leaving QPR for Palace and leaving Palace for Arsenal? They’re both for the same reasons.
The difference is that I don't give a monkey's about QPR or Arsenal, or Eze ultimately.
While we are about to play our first ever serious European game, he is off sorting out his move to Arsenal.

To quote Tammy Winette. D.I.V.O.R.C.E.

That either isn’t an answer or it’s an emotional one without any logic or understanding of situations which I know isn’t normally you.

They can, but if you don't get what you expected for the players (and you're in a weaker position because clubs know what you need to make) then you're up a cul de sac
But even if we got 65% of what we wanted to Eze it should still cover the costs of the incoming players.
And you have five years to iron it out, no?

Google, Harris worth 10 billion, the other 2 are worth 3.5 billion each, but dont worry I'll let forbes know that mtp1958 said their wealth is only 10b at best.

Do you think any billionaire has it in their bank ? Of course they don't, and do you really think they need money, no, banks will be chucking however much they want at them, at a far better interest rate than any of us would get.

We all know why Eze has gone to Arsenal. I'm not sure why you are still trying to explain it.

I'm focusing on the players that are wearing a Palace shirt. That is what football supporting is about, is it not?

I want players who want to sign new deals at Palace, and I want us to make that a more attractive proposition.

Steve Parish knows what is needed, but I'm not sure if he can achieve it.

The answer to that is we either end up with players not as good as Olise, Eze, Guehi, Wharton etc who want/need to sign new deals at Palace. Or obviously owners who will rebuild 1, 2, 3 or 4 stands fast. I wish I could wave that magic wand and make the latter happen…

Similar to Olise, Eze was not a product of our academy. Neither player has any massive loyalty to our club and Arsenal are doing the same to us that we did to Reading and QPR. I think Esse needs a run in the team to gain confidence, these 15 minute cameos don't really do him justice.

I'm not going to wish him well at Arsenal. As much as he gave me my dream, I'm struggling to care either way. Not wishing him ill either, but really don't care about him now. Would enjoy the karma of us doing better than them, but apart from the fact we win trophies and they don't, it seems a little unlikely that he'll look back.

Time to focus on the players that we do have now.

Very narrow view on finance whats your net worth mines 100k , would i give it away no , so there talking millions if lost , I would be pissed at £500 , and my money not spread everywhere

What are you even on about, give what away, mate they'll go to a bank and ask for a 150 million loan against their shares, the bank will rub their hands together and say here you go, but we want 2% interest on it, they will go thanks for that, we get a return of about 8% a year anyway.

Same, gutted he's gone but also out of our 4 best players in the last couple of years (Wharton, Guehi, Olise and Eze) he's the one I'd be least pissed off about leaving.
