What about Eze though?Just announced on Talk Sport
“Esse will NOT play tonight!”
Not sure how true it is, but I guess it would make sense

So you want to block Eze going to Arsenal? Do you want to let his contract run down and Guehi’s contract run down? When we were not trading out as well as in it ended up in the Hodgson years with virtually no trading at all.Good for you.
I'm not interested in the ambitions of players. I'm concerned about the lack of ambition at our club.
The club needs a new stadium and a lot more income. Our owners, despite their combined wealth, have failed to deliver a long term plan to make that happen.
Until we get serious, we will be losing world class players like Eze and Olise.
Thank you - well spotted 🙏What about Eze though?
I'm not sure why fans care about the ambition of players.Good point. Should have stayed at QPR. Why join Palace?
You misundersand. So you want to block Eze going to Arsenal? Do you want to let his contract run down and Guehi’s contract run down? When we were not trading out as well as in it ended up in the Hodgson years with virtually no trading at all.
What do you actually want as a strategy? I have to ask this because football has always had a business element to it, well before now.
I would call Eze the competition. He is not the enemy lol. It is emotional, I get it, but things aren’t as simple as you’d like.I'm not sure why fans care about the ambition of players.
Eze is an asset. He has shown no loyalty to Palace. He is leaving when we are at our most successful.
I hope he is unsuccessful at Arsenal, because I don't support Arsenal. He gets the same level of loyalty from me as he has shown the club I support.
Making a big fuss because he continued to train properly is laughable. He is a paid employee.
Thanks Eze, but you are now the enemy. Give him a polite round of applause at Selhurst when he is wearing his new Arsenal shirt, and then hope he has a nightmare.
It’s not we care about their ambition, but it is a factor when managing a club and squad of certain sizes, plus understanding that as a fan.I'm not sure why fans care about the ambition of players.
That is just a ridiculous attitude.I would call Eze the competition. He is not the enemy lol. It is emotional, I get it, but things aren’t as simple as you’d like.
Eze has shown no loyalty to Palace? What are you talking about? He’s hardly done the dirty on us has he?
How long do you want him to stay? When he retires? To the pony he’s not worth anything and we aren’t evolving the squad because of that?
I do agree that I owe no loyalty to Eze now but blimey. You want them to never leave. As someone pointed out, maybe Eze should never have left QPR and Olise Reading.
So your angst is either aimed at the Americans or frustrations we don’t have more ambitious owners or owners that are quicker with growth plans? If so, I would like that too, but I’m not into ‘sack the board’ type stuff. Until someone fancies us as his project we have to operate this way.You misundersand.
It is inevitable that we have to sell players who don't want to sign new contracts.
Parish is doing what he can in the current environment. It is the status of the club that needs to change.
Chelsea were an average club until it was owned by someone who wanted to win things. City were nowhere until it has the backing of real money. Spurs have increased their revenue three fold with their new stadium.
We are lucky to be where we are now as things stand. That is not where fans want to be, unless they like being miserable.
No one wants to sack anyone, but it would be good to show a lot more ambition rather than just paying lip service to it.So your angst is either aimed at the Americans or frustrations we don’t have more ambitious owners or owners that are quicker with growth plans? Spurs have increased their revenue with their impressive new stadium but the football ambitions are an absolute joke. Again, down to owners.
😎 I know the feeling!!. With you all the way.So many conflicting stories.
Eze wouldn't play at the weekend...he plays.
Palace and Eze agreed the Spurs move...now he's supposedly off to Arsenal.
Eze would play tonight....now he's supposedly not playing.
Eze wouldn't go until we had a replacement in the books....now he's supposed to be having a medical at Arsenal tomorrow morning with still no replacement in sight.
We're signing El Khanouss...no, make that Dibling...no, make that the Bruges winger...no make that Elliott etc.
I just hope it's not really as chaotic as it seems from the outside.
Roll on to the end of the window.... and look forward to January when it all starts again.
I find it all very irritating , and at the same time check what's happening every 5 minutes.
I think the investors at Newcastle and Man City are the glory seeking ones though in Man City’s case as you say they might realise a gain. Or to put it more realistically the sports washing ones. A lot of the others will view it as an investment primarily. Yes they have billions more than they need but that doesn’t stop them focussing on financial return. Although the US is different due to no relegation, salary caps etc the lesson is if the value of the league as a whole goes up so does the value of the teams within it. To be honest I think that is what our US investors are doing. They are using Palace as a means of effectively taking a share in the value of the EPL. Johnson at the Jets has run one of the most sportingly unsuccessful franchises in the US but his still seen his investment grow hugely in value.Which is???
Very few current investors in the premier other than the very savvy arabs at Man City and Newcastle will see any capital gain on their investments.
Most of them are here as Glory Seekers. They have made billions more than they will ever need and are parking it in places where they will be seen for what they are.....the super rich.
None of them have invested to turn a profit.....not even Saudi Arabia or Abu Dhabi. (In fact least of all them. It is however ironic that in both cases they are looking at substantial capital gains.)
I'm not sure why fans care about the ambition of players.

It’s incredibly hard for a club out size to grow our income substantially. Yes we could build a new ground but that would be a ten year project and cost several hundred million. At the end of that there is absolutely no guarantee of success or return. We would struggle to diversify our income in the way Arsenal have. London is full of alternative big venues for things like concerts so we’d be competing for that and probably not successfully. No one wants to sack anyone, but it would be good to show a lot more ambition rather than just paying lip service to it.
We have a good academy now, but that won't get us in the Champions League.
It costs a lot of money to go from 11th to 15th to top 8. The only way to achieve that is by making a lot more money as a club. I've said that 10 times today.
Eze was languishing at QPR? He was improving at a good rate. He was named in the championship team of the year before we bought him. That is just a ridiculous attitude.
He was paid handsomely to play for the club and enjoyed the adulation of fans while doing it. We showed faith in him when he was languishing at QPR. He has buggered off to Arsenal when he got a better offer.
We had some great moments together, but like an ex girlfriend who left you for another bloke, it's thanks for the memory, no hard feelings begrudgingly, but don't expect to stay friends.
But harsh on Eze. Played an integral part in winning the cup. Him leaving isn’t personal just a fact of life.I'm not sure why fans care about the ambition of players.

I think only new ownership is going to achieve this. These American owners aren’t going to do this at pace.No one wants to sack anyone, but it would be good to show a lot more ambition rather than just paying lip service to it.
