Farage says he's 'never directly racially abused anybody' after school racism claims

He said he hasn’t ever directly racially abused anyone. That is very much saying it didn’t happen.
While I agree with the silliness of this assassination attempt, saying he didn't directly abuse anyone sounds weaselly and slippery. Playing with words. A typical politician's version of lying, if you know what I mean.

I might, for instance, say that all Jews should be wiped out and are a cancer on Earth but never actually insult any Jews personally. Would that be ok? Would that make me less of an antisemite?

You're right. If it happened, which seems likely, he should have held his hands up. It's not as though anyone would be paralysed with shock.

The harm has been done the silent majority now have Farage's measure and he is being rightly judged harshly , there is no way he will be Prime Minister now unless there is a Tory/Reform coalition and stand as one united Party (which I doubt) he metaphorically has been caught with his pants down and no number of placard wielding discontents will alter that most people are very fair and are happier with some changes to immigration but not the forced repatriation ,it sails far too close to Fascism which we as a country fought so hard against.

This is your dream rather than any type of reality. There's no one who gives a flying f*** about this other than people who already hated Farage and Reform. The irony of what you're saying with regards to the Labour party's conduct is also very humourous.

don't think I mentioned labour in the above post? Am I getting a selective memory like Farage?

What I might have done as a teenager might have become relevant if I had later sought high office! I haven’t. Farage is! Nobody is concerned about me because I am not going to affect large number of others. Farage already is.
How many of the current Labour party were previously supporters of the communist or marxist parties; you know, when in their teens or twenties? Yet here they are in high office. Funny that.

How many people made mistakes in their youth. Faith leaders, social workers, teachers, sportspeople, business leaders etc. The press often right feel good stories like "gangster who turn his life around and setup charity..., Boxer who ran with a gang...".

Apparently these people are to be forgiven and celebrated, unless that is, your name is Nigel.

The types you mention are not canvassing to be the next Prime Minister different standards must apply it must be someone beyond reproach. Prime Ministers have resigned for less. Mac Millan he resigned because one of his Minister had a leg over,Boris went because unlike George Washington he couldn't tell the truth. I speak to a lot of people of all types and Farage's standing has taken a real blow. It isn't possible to elect someone so dodgy.

And yet we have a prime minister with a possible super injunction protecting something about his life and a Chancellor who apparently was an economist at the Bank of England (but can’t be proven). Yet 50 years ago a schoolboy who is now an MP might have said something unpleasant.
I’m more worried about those that are in power today rather than who might be in power in 3 years time.

We can only judge based on what we know, if there was a super injunction the foreign press would delight in telling us .

You don't get a laugh out of PMQs then. I do. It's called a sense of humour. I don't care about Boris at all - I've explained it several times. It's literally a joke. A bit like the current cabinet. Heavy hitters.
I find PMQs a bit of Punch and Judy theater not much real help to the working people.

Main stream tv back in Farage’s youth 🙂

Yes, I was thinking all the broadcasters, comedians, actors, journalists and press owners would need to be arrested. I say prosecute Farage and every other person who was around in the 70s as we may as well get to the bottom of this. f*** it, we can all get done. We may as well. I admit to recreating WW2 in the playground at school. At least until it was replaced by Star Wars. Someone had to play the Germans. I don't think it was necessarily me but it might have been. I could just turn myself in.
