FA Cup Doncaster predictions.

These games are usually tougher than expected but expecting us to win for obvious reasons.

Main hope is to see Esse, Wharton and possibly Franca to get some minutes and outside of that hope that we don't get any injuries. Shame Nketiah is injured as he needs minutes if he's ever going to improve.
 
OG has to strike quite a difficult balance between putting out a strong enough team so we aren't vulnerable, (too many changes might affect cohesion), resting one or two and giving one or two others some match practice and using this to improve fitness for those coming back off injury. Ideally Nketiah would replace JPM but that's not happening and we have no other striker so JPM starts, Chilwell and Wharton will get minutes but won't start, I think it will be Kamada and Lerma in the middle and Hughes will start on the bench, and Esse may start in place of Eze. I can see Clyne giving Munoz a rest too. So I reckon Donny will scare us ... 1-2 ... I can see it being close then Chilwell, Munoz and Hughes come off the bench and we kill them in the last 20 minutes.
 
Glasner has said he will start one of Wharton or Chilwell, not both, as they will not play complete the whole game and he needs to factor in the needs for substitutions ( just 3 are allowed in the FA Cup).
If both were to start, and complications emerged, his view is that it would compromise his flexibility on further substitutions.
From his comments it also seems unlikely that Esse will start, although it’s likely he will get minutes.
I think Kamada will play instead of the rested Eze.

For those with long memories, and with specific reference to the FA Cup, I hope this is Malcolm Allison's Fedora.

Somehow I don't think Glasner will be walking around away ground pitches while wearing elaborate hats and antagonising opposition supporters by using his fingers to forecast the goals in a Palace victory.

Not specifically a Fedora worn by Malcolm Allison but one I purchased - they were readily available for purchase in those days. It is one of my prized possessions.
