OG already has already mentioned that after we play Stockport next Sunday, we only have a few days recovery until we play hugely important games against Leicester & West Ham.

I guess it comes down to priorities - but personally, I would play a weaker team against Stockport.

What would your team be?

i would definitely rest a few.

Henderson, Munoz, Eze, Mateta are no brainers for me, however, i suspect OG will want a strong line up.

As Eze (twice!) and Wharton got injured playing in cup games we need a balance.

Players like Eddie N and maybe Kamada need 90 minutes. Shame Wharton isn't ready yet

I am of the same opinion. I think resting at least half a dozen first team starters makes total sense. An F A cup run would be amazing, but staying in the Premiership is far too important

Personally I’d change more or less the whole eleven. We really should have enough to see off Stockport and can’t afford new injuries with our league position. We’ve already seen injuries picked up in cup games prove costly.

For me:

Turner
Clyne Richards Riad
Kporha Doucoure Deveney Schlupp
Agbinone Kamada
Nketiah

OG has shown that he likes to play a strong team in the cup. It's refreshing.

Keeping the same players and progressing in the league cup has really helped us to click this season in my opinion.

That said I'd be happy to rest half the team as premier league is priority. We are only a few losses away from being back into the bottom 3.

Id expect the likes of Kamada, devenny and nketiah to start instead of Eze, mateta and Sarr.

Personally this tie isn't worth the Premiership risks involved.

We shouldn't play our strongest eleven and if that isn't good enough for Stockport then they deserve to go through.....and as stated it would point to more a Palace squad problem than anything else.

I think it is likely that Turner, Clyne, Richards, Doucoure, Schlupp, Nketiah and even Riad will all start. We should still have plenty to see off Stockport................
Hubris! Stockport are good.

Turner, Riad, Clyne, Richards, Devenny, Nketiah, Doucoure, Kamada and juniors to fill the other roles. But...

If the League Cup is anything to go by, little change from the team that played Chelsea and will play the following games.

The Leicester away game follows on the Wednesday which is an important game.

I think Glasner will start with a strong team, but will also take the opportunity to rest players.
I could see Nketiah and Kamada starting with players like Clyne also getting minutes.

I get where you are coming from but our results after our last two league cup outings were a draw against Wolves (then second from bottom), a loss to Fulham, a season worst loss to Arsenal a and a 0-0 draw. Both the losses were partially impacted by either an injury sustained in the cup or players being knackered.

I dont think OG would go quite this far. But hopefully he does rest a fair few.

No that’s more what I’d like to see! I really hope he gives the likes of JPM, Mitchell and Munoz a rest. At the moment losing any of them leaves a massive gap in the team. Hope he rests Eze as well. Want to see Deveney get game time. While I’d like all 11 changed I expect it will be four or five

In the past, Ollie has always fielded the strongest team in the Cup. But that was in leagues that didn't have such a tightly packed fixture list as the Premier League and also had a longer winter break. It will be interesting to see if he starts to rest some of the regulars against easier opponents in the Cup.

Is there an 'easier' opponent in the Cup? The home of giant killing.....🤔
