Eze to spurs?

Just like they had every season with Zaha. Just like Chelsea had with Olise.
Ey I remember that day, when after all that fuss, suddenly and quietly that photo popped up of a smiling Olise in his bucket hat, sat next to Stevie P holding a crisp new contract.
That's what I'm waiting for.
If Ebs and Guehi need a bucket hat I've got one they can borrow.

It's not brinkmanship, it's to appease his desperate fan base

"Oh we did bid a huge sum but they rejected it. Oh well"
Precisely. There’s enough stupid football fans to fall for it just like there’s enough stupid and emotional Spurs fans who believed it was pretty much all agreed yesterday.

Their fans are all ready rounding on him, protests were held last Saturday.
Why? They look like they might do ok. They were s*** last season but still bluffed their way into the Champions League. A team that f***ing useless should be grateful for recent changes.
They must be entitled arsehole wankers to say the least. What do they want? Champions League and Premier League double? Yeah right ok.

With other clubs seemingly wanting crazy money for relatively unproven players, I wonder if Parish is reconsidering what is a good deal for us for Eze. What's the point in getting £55 million for Eze and then (after QPR's cut) having to spend most of it on a player who is a long way off his level. This business echoes last summer when every day the papers said a deal had been agreed with Newcastle for Guehi. I still wouldn't be surprised to see Eze sign a new deal, but perhaps with a lower release clause that kicks in next summer. Of course, maybe Levy will surprise everyone and pay what the club wants.

Eze has to be replaced whenever he leaves for whatever fee the transfer totals. Zero to 60 odd mil, so I don’t see the point you’re making.

I think this could have a lot to do with showing we aren’t there to be taken the p1ss out of anymore and if we sell Eze for £20 mil less next summer then so be it. That £20 mil could be less than future sales where teams try to take the p1ss out of us again and again. I trust Parish et al on this and this deal, especially on us needing replacements and time to sign them.

But if we win the Conference League then Eze will have been worth it. So tell them to do one.

If we do sell it's either the player kicking off, or we have some money troubles.

We also have to take into account how Eze feels about this. Whilst he hasn’t come out and said he wants to leave, he hasn’t said he wants to stay either.

If he does want to go I would much rather get full value for him now than be in the same position as we are with Guehi with one year left on his contract and teams looking to short change us for him.

I think it’s either give him a bumper contract to see out his career with Palace or let him go now for circa £65m. That is his value compared to recent sales of players like Elanga and Mbuemo.

My point is, if clubs are asking crazy money, why wouldn't we? If selling Eze meant we could afford two really good players, or one who is at Eze's level, then it makes sense, but if we are only able to get one who is not as good, what is the point? Eze still has two years left on his deal. Brentford are holding out for £60 million for Wissa who is a year older and only has one year left on his deal. Surely we have to be looking to get at least his release clause? I do trust Parish not to buckle. He doesn't seem to have shown that he will in the past.

Funny isn't it? Every team seems to.be able to ask for crazy money except us. Something's not right there. Are we seen as idiots on transfers? Or do we do it to ourselves with Levy style offers? No idea.

Sky reporting we’ve agreed a deal in principle for El Khannouss but are looking at Dibbling as an alternative option before deciding which to take. They’re assuming the Eze deal is also agreed in principle. The alternative is that we’ve agreed a replacement for Eze should Levy come up with the asking price but haven’t signed as Levy’s offer is short of the mark.

Well, after Sky stated that Eze was out of the squad and the game last week, then miraculously re-appeared the veracity of their reporting has dwindled in my eyes. They used to get their facts right before reporting but now they are pretty much like a clickbait site.

I’ll wait until someone leaves and someone signs I reckon.

Glasner will no doubt be asked about Eze at the press conference.
If Eze is playing tomorrow it doesn’t look like a deal is imminent.

The one thing that does occur to me is that Palace could easily shut this down by saying he’s not leaving this window and by pointing out that the release clause has expired.
The fact that Palace hasn’t done this indicates that suitable offers are likely to be entertained.
I anticipate that Levy will test Palace’s resolve until the end of the window.

Just read that he expects to move and that Spurs have offered £55m plus £5m add ons. Also stated that Eze threatened to not play against Chelsea unless Palace honoured an agreement with him to let him go.

Believe what you may from these articles!
As usual, Dont believe a word. Not shooting the messenger. I get it that you are only sharing what you read but there are so many lies being told about Eze atm. The whole saga is becoming quite toxic.
Can anyone honestly, hand on heart see Glasner picking Eze if he had thrown his toys out of his pram?
OG is all about team unity. He said himself, the reason he was selected to play Chelsea (along with Marc) was their first class attitude

The dramatic one is you who is clearly in some weird sort of frantic denial - relax, none of us have any control over what happens, I just have a different view to you.

The first 15 seconds of the video below are from Stamford Bridge - I don’t see how you draw the conclusion that’s just a normal ‘away day thanking the fans’.

Time will tell.

What a load of rubbish, I have said many times I couldn't really care either way if Eze goes or not as long as we get value for money and the club leaves themselve enough time to use some of the money where needed. Players come and go. That life. Its you that needs to calm down. But answer me this Professor, If Glasner knew 100% that Eze's last game would NOT be away to Chelsea (he said he will play against Fredrikstad on Thursday at home) then you can be certain that Eze knew that too so why is it that you seem so convinced that him clapping the fans on Sunday with an expressionless face was him saying goodbye to the fans?
Just try not to get your knickers in a twist while you try desperately to think of a credible answer 🤣

If a deal had been reached, Eze wouldn't have been training today. It might be close, but it clearly isn't agreed. We've seen this all before with Zaha, Olise and Guehi, so it's hard not to be sceptical.
