Eze to spurs?

This makes us sound like we are skint.

We’ve spent virtually nothing and shipped off quite a few players through loan end, contract end or retirement (Sosa and Calabria simply replace the loans of Chilwell and Turner). We are weaker than we were last season at present and I sincerely hope we get some bodies through the door regardless of whether both Guehi and Eze stay.

I must admit that Palace have an annoying trait of painting the retention of players as a massive success whereas most clubs look to strengthen and add depth to their squads.
And Munoz. Apparently he is getting itchy feet...

I wonder how much it would cost to bring Connor Gallagher back permanently this summer. He was fantastic for us, we are now playing in Europe with an exciting team and he would play regularly in the build up to the World Cup.

All of this hinging on Eze potentially leaving

Way beyond our budget I’m afraid.

Where would he play in our team?

It depends what we get for Eze and how much Gallagher is. As others said he would not be a like for like but putting him alongside Wharton with our high press for example would be a force of a midfield next season. He creates and scores goals

Capology puts him on £200,000 a week with 4 years left on his contract. Too rich for our blood.

Alongside Wharton?

Have you not heard? Apparently spurs fans reckon they are gonna try and sign him too now!!

IMO cant imaging Glasner liking him. Not great on the ball and a bit of a headless chicken.

Glasner like technical players who have the discipline to play in a set shape.

He isnt as good as either Hughes or Kamada, always seemed a bit like a headless chicken.

Lol...you can't be serious. That season on loan, Gallagher was immense. Scoring, assisting, working his butt off. He was incredible for the first 2/3 of the season. He's on par with Hughesy for me, with a better final product. But he's leagues above Kamada. I'd take him back...won't happen with wages though.

There’s one report that Arsenal are willing to include the unsettled Trossard in a part exchange for Eze.
Probably no substance to it, but I can’t think of many better fits for that left sided front 3 role in which Eze has featured.
Trossard is very effective in this position and gets his fair share of goals and assists.
He’s a bit older than Eze, but if we’re genuinely hopeful that Esse and Franca will make the breakthrough that needn’t be a huge hurdle.

Arsenal would like to sign Eze but they have spent too much this summer for ffp rules, so they have to get us to drop the price or accept a player so they can claim they didn`t spend as much.
Which gives Palace an advantage, prehaps tell Arsenal we want these two players of our choice plus a fee or the full fee.

Can deffo see the logic in that.
