Eze to spurs?

They have sold Quansah, subject to medical. The big difference is that his Liverpool contract lasted to 2029 so they were in a much better bargaining position than Palace with Guehi
Which is why the Bosman ruling is ruining the game. The situation with clubs holding registrations was unfair before but it's gone too far the other way. That said I have no idea how to resolve the problem; Chelsea tried offering much longer contracts and got stuck with players they no longer wanted.

My concern is not how much we do or do not get for Eze. But, last year we replaced Olise with Sarr, although Sarr has done well he isn't as good as Olise. Guehi replaced by this Diomade fella (arguably Riad as well). But who do we get to replace Eze? out of the options in the squad Kamada, got better as the season went on but is better deeper, Franca, not really met what we hoped for him, Devenny still young and unproven to rely on.
We are far from 'out of options' Losing Eze would be a big blow but as one door closes another one opens . Franca has never really had an injury free run and would hope that the nursing of his condition will pay dividends next season , Devenny is a steadfast if unspectacular option but could grow into a decent enough replacement and of course Esse is the natural successor if he can win the trust of Oli .

I do have a feeling he will be a Palace player next season though , why would anyone want to get off this ride ?

i agree, im feeling the same, with our best teams in the passed, so called team of the 80’s and early 90’s team, you just knew once one player jumped ship that was it, as in sansom and wright, we just knew those teams would break up and we were only heading one way. But times have most definitely changed, with the quality signings of recent years and how well we replaced Olise and Andersen last summer, I’m confident even if Eze and Guehi do both go we’ll be okay next season.
I know the Doug has gone, but I’m still confident we’ve learnt a lot as a club in recent years in the transfer market

A youngster with plenty of potential to improve and develop in the great environment provided by Palace.

Finn Azaz - Middlesboro
Nusa - Norwegian international playing in Italy are a couple we have been scouting for a good while now….allegedly.

Be surprised to see either Eze and Guehi still at Palace beginning of the season. Lost Olise and Anderson last season, attacker n defender and had to adapt, so similar. Think Eze will b more difficult to replace as good partnership with Sarr n Mateta n no real replacement at the club n difficult in the market to find like for like. However Guehi, Riad perhaps could step up or get in the likes of Diomande. That said expect at least close to £120 million on both in the current climate, £60 odd million each. By the way be easy to throw off the Spuds by throwing silly money at Levy who won't ever pull out his wallet. Be gratifying after his supposed derisory bid for Wilf previously.
Let's not forget that we didn't get a full season from Wharton. What a great player. Can pick a pocket when needed like the semi, fantastic awareness n passing ability. He can improve players around him just by his ability. Can easily see him follow the trajectory of Rice. Can build a team around him for many a season a la the Spammers. Easily see him as our first £100 million transfer. Personally if we lost him now I would be more worried for the future than Guehi n Eze.

I just can't see Eze going to spurs at all. With arsenal showing an interest I can see him going there instead if anything or to Bayern to link up with his mate.

Spurs fans were saying it's typical of Levy to bid on a player knowing full well it will get rejected to keep them happy. It did it with guehi in January.

A lot of pundits seem to think Arsenal don't need Eze, but Odegaard was not very productive last season and seemed to be playing a deeper role, so it's possible Arteta does see the need for another creative forward. Plus Eze is a known quantity. As much as it pains me to say, I think Eze would join Spurs or Arsenal if the option were there. If he could choose, I have no doubt he'd opt for Arsenal. I'm still hoping that he wants to stay and play with us in Europe, but I think that's wishful thinking.

They probably hope Odergaard bounces back and see Eze as more of an upgrade on Matinelli, although they are somewhat different players. They need more production from the left side if they are to have any chance of winning the title

The Guardian report that he'd be happy to go either Arsenal or Spurs if a deal can be done

But Spurs, what a surprise, want us to to reduce the fee from the release clause. Hilarious!

As he has just turned 27 their thinking is he's quite expensive for that age.

Looks like we have got this release clause pitched perfectly. Just above the price other clubs would be willing to bid normally but at a level so the players knows if they want him they can come and get him.

With competition for his signature he could go at the required price

I heard from an “expert” that Arsenal have money but if they use it to buy Sesko or another striker then they will have to sell to afford Eze.

I have a strong feeling that if he doesn't end up being constantly injured, Franca will be a hell of a player.
Here's hoping. He's only 21 but because of the injuries he's behind that age in experience. The slight concern is that we expect more from him than we would if he was called Matthew Francis and came from Croydon.

i love Eze and would prefer him to stay.

However, i think a decent young replacement could be Jonathan Rowe - Previously at Norwich before moving to Marseille, where he has struggled a little.

In the championship he reminded me of Eze picking the ball up and running from deep positions and scored a few worldies.

Just played for England U21, where they played him as a striker (which he is not) as Delap stayed with Chelsea.

Could be similar to Sarr - struggled in France, but better suited to the English game. Not 100% sure if he fits into our formation as he's more of a 10, but you could say the same about Eze.

I think £20m could get him.

From the reports it seems that neither Arsenal or Spurs are prepared to meet the amount in Eze's release clause.

If they want him that badly then they surely have to - Palace are under no pressure to sell and the player still has 2 years on his contract.

Overall I'd prefer him to stay. He had a strange season - bang average for most of it and then at the peak of his game at the business end of the season.

He doesn't seem to be agitating for a move but this is his best chance for a big one financially

All in the know have said its a very difficult deal to do. Couple that with the fact Palace would be crazy to accept a penny less than the full release clause I'd say there is a very good chance Eze stays this summer.
Can see Eze going and I can see Guehi leaving. I cant see both going unless both express a desire to leave. So far neither has said they want to leave. In fact both have mentioned how indebted they feel to Palace and Glasner for their developement.

Does eze start over odergard, saka tossard and martinelli?

He would be fighting for a place in a world cup year.

Arsenal are doing it again...they need to focus on a striker not an eze type player.
