Everton Predictions

After listen to Sage interview today I really do like this guy , he doesn't seem to panic , and it sounds like he is telling the club the type of guy he would like in his team , plus he also told them no panic buying , I think he knows his team Saturday also I reckon he already knew before last friendly ,

I feel a win is coming Saturday

My problem is fear of a De Boer scenario this season; it's a thought that keeps recurring.

I'm such a pessimist, I know.
 
Here's what I'd love to see:

Henderson (if fit)

Richards - Tomiyasu - Canvot

Munoz - Wharton - Hughes - Mitchell

Sarr - Mateta - Pino.

Benitez-Riad-Khalali-Kamada-Lerma-McNeill-Guessand-Strand Larsen-Nketiah

I think that team earns us a 1-1 draw.

Crazy to think there will be some decent players not even in the squad.

If I have got my facts right, we have only had four foreign managers - all in the past decade. Three of them came in between seasons. The last British manager whowas appointed before the start of a campaign was George Burley in 2010. Since then, basically, panic appointments

The starts they make are a bit worrying
de Boer 4 straight losses and a thank-you Frank
Vieira 1 win in 10 games
Glasner 1 win in first 6 (and that is if you count the Burnley game, which I'm not sure he picked the team for)

So a draw would be very acceptable

Agreed. Bound to be a dodgy decision against us as well. I imagine the ref is already going through the law book highlighting rules that have never been enforced in the hope he can. 😀

I feel our defence will be shell shocked by the Everton arial bombardment during the first 30 minutes, by which time we will be 2.0 down - we will rally the troops with Ish getting one back but ultimately we will lose 3.1 , conceding the third late on from an Everton breakaway, whilst throwing everyone forward going for the draw.

Agree. But assuming Munoz wont be fit and Mingueza plays at RWB we'll have a pretty big team too.
 
We weren't great in preseason, but most our first XI were missing for most of it. The big question is whether Sage has had enough time with them to get them ready for tomorrow. Everton always beat us, even when they don't deserve it. We just never seem to be able to cope with their physicality. Despite all of that, I feel like this might be a bore draw. 0-0.
