Better a polished zircon than a polished turd 🙂This is true but better a rough diamond than a polished zircon.

there were figures of ÂŁ12 mil and ÂŁ20 mil being banded about, at ÂŁ35 mil he'd only be worth it as a direct replacement for Eze not squad reinforcement so no lossConfirmed signed by Villa . . .

That's what I thought. You can spend that money on a bench warmer unless Eze is off.there were figures of ÂŁ12 mil and ÂŁ20 mil being banded about, at ÂŁ35 mil he'd only be worth it as a direct replacement for Eze not squad reinforcement so no loss

For a striker that can reportedly play across the entire frontline I don’t think it’s an extraordinary amount of money although many have said the opposite. We will probably know before Christmas whether he was a good buy and can handle it at this level.Sky have reported that the initial fee is one of £23.5M with potential add ons taking it up to a maximum of £28M if all conditions are met.

That’s way off the earlier suggestions of £35M and less than we splaffed on Nketiah 🥴

I like the idea of us buying a utility forward, a bit like Ayew was, who can provide quality cover or even push for a starting place in multiple positions
I agree with you.
The earlier suggestions were a fee of around ÂŁ35M for Guessand. That seemed a lot but for ÂŁ23.5M that seems far more reasonable.

Another winger? Training sessions will look like a rush hour tube train at this rate.

No doubt we'll have negotiated them up on a fee to buy, probably offering them twice what they paid in the summer or something ridiculous. Its a done deal so im being told with option to buy 👍

We’ve done goalkeepers the last few years, now we are moving onto wingers. Our transfers this window are just plain strange… where the hell does this guy fit into the team?
Perhaps Ollie is going to go down in flames playing 3 wingers plus 2 wingbacks, no midfield and hope that Strand Larson scores 50 goals from all the crosses
