Edouard

Once, the club made a missing persons report whilst Édouard was on the pitch. The police at the ground still failed to find him.
When they say a player "ghosted" someone when they dribble past them skilfully, Édouard has taken that to new heights; genuinely playing exactly like the ghost of some long deceased footballer.

Edouard is a decent striker but not quite at Premier League Level. I still remember his debut when he came on against Spurs and scored a couple and nearly got a hat trick and the hopes were high. He scored a good one against Arsenal when he was partnering Benteke up front. Decent right foot and good in the air when facing the goal. Problem is his work rate away from the 6 box was not great and he could neither run in behind teams, as he was a fraction to slow, or hold the ball up well enough to bring others into the game. Think the Atalanta move sounds a good fit and if not a move to a championship team.
 
Can’t believe they will pay £15m. Get it done. Virgin fly daily direct from Heathrow. Organise an Uber cos he has encountered driving issues before.
Now I feel harsh, but if true will pay for the lad from Millwall.
 
From memory i think he was one of our highest earners on around 80k a week. We may well accept the offer but i doubt anyone is going to want to foot his wages which could scupper the deal.

Spoil sport! Don’t think you’re far off on wages.But say he got a three year deal on £60k ish Dumps one year on £80k with little prospect of anyone here or in France paying £20k to £30k, if he sees it out.
 
Apparently is US interest in Édouard, initial negotiations they offered £15 mil: we said £7.5 mil - just take him now and we'll pay for first class travel, hotel, anything - just bill us.

Given OG's response when asked about calling Edouard back from Leicester. (Basically it was "if he can't get into the Leicester match day squad, why would I want to bring him back?") I suspect OG believes it would be a waste of time trying to turn him round. Bear in mind, also, that the Celtic fans were less than enamoured with Edouard during his final year or so with them.
