Apart from goalies in the past they've had some great players, the Celtic team that won in 67 all came from the same area in Glasgow and around the same time was the keepie uppies maestro Jim Baxter.

Not only that, but it was a brilliant performance. Willie Wallace scored the 2 goals that got them to the final. Shame he was past it when he played for us

Strand Larsen scored twice in tonight's Norway vs Sweden friendly - still going on but he was subbed off 63rd minute

(he was playing up front with Sorloth - so a little evidence, as suggested on these boards, that he is better with another striker alongside him)

It is quite the feat to have more international players at the world cup other than Barca, Man City, Arsenal, Bayern and PSG. It shows the talent in the squad, notwithstanding WHarton and Mitchell could/should have had a crack as well. Hopefully we can learn from this season's campaigns and add the depth coverage to the squad for rotation; otherwise we might get off to a slow start in the Prem and then it gets rather challenging, especially as a new manager will not have a lot of pre-season time with our WCup players. It also struck me watching the 2 european finals last week that our midfield duo of Wharton and Kamada looked better and way more creative and incisive than Arsenal's offering ...... there is hope!🙂
