Dublin - Tickets / Travel / Accommodation / Meeting points / Local knowledge

I know there is a meet up (for us Irish based fans) prior to the game. I also know that most of us have tickets in the home end.

Anyone at all worried about the email we got shortly after the tickets were sold saying they'll refuse entry to away fans in the home end?

To be fair I went to one of the other Shelbourne games, simply because we had to buy three tickets and I was surrounded by kids, so it's not like there is going to be any bother at all.
I’d be more worried about our fans kicking off in the ‘home’ end, especially in the presence of youngsters.

I’m pretty confident I can keep my mouth shut and I plan on wearing red on top, blue hidden underneath 😂. Could be interesting if we score a late winner though!

I did that brentford away a few years back and sat with the home fans 1-1 into added on time and the game decided to go end to end. I ended up having to watch the last few mins from the tunnel as I was so nervous 🤣

I'm wondering what the best pub would be, with a covered smoking area and screen outside.

Any ideas?
Get outta temple bar, absolute shithole ...few good pubs not far from you though ..dame tavern, long hall, foggy dew,
Me personally would go to the same tavern....small bar 2 tellies ,one soccer and one for racing

Dont go near Temple Bar, it is a rip off with crazy prices for a pint. Plenty of pubs in Dublin where a pint of the black stuff will vary between €6 - €7, Go to Temple Bar and you will be in double figures.

Dont wear colours and try not cheer if the Eagles score. I am a Dub who has loved Palace since the 1970s and hates Shelbourne so I will have a problem keeping quiet also.

Dont forget to rub Molly Malone's boobies for good luck , 🤣

Guinness storehouse is somthing to do for a few hours. You get a Guinness with your ticket in the sky bar.

And don't forget there is a statue of Chris Richards outside bruxelles pub to get a picture with. It's just off grafton street.

I have two tickets for the game on Thursday in the shelbourne end. Pm if interested. Can’t make the game now
