Dublin - Tickets / Travel / Accommodation / Meeting points / Local knowledge

Guinness storehouse is somthing to do for a few hours. You get a Guinness with your ticket in the sky bar.

And don't forget there is a statue of Chris Richards outside bruxelles pub to get a picture with. It's just off grafton street.
Is it a dive Bar like the Diageo share price?

Forgot about Bruxelles....great bar..
The Dawson lounge is an experience, although doesn't open until 5pm as far as I know

Dont wear colours and try not cheer if the Eagles score. I am a Dub who has loved Palace since the 1970s and hates Shelbourne so I will have a problem keeping quiet also.

it will be difficult when we win 0-20. Since our newfound success, i have seen a few Palace shirts wandering around the Dublin area. Including one today. Dublin accent, Palace logo.

Just arrived in the Lansdowne hotel, Pembrook Road, anyone nearby - going to grab a beer in the den (the pub bar) will sort out the rest tomorrow

There are quite a few palace fans watching the game in the Woolshed if unable to get Tickets, we are arriving tomorrow morning, staying on Parnell Street, Guiness factory then pub crawl after. Definitely a stop in the palace bar. If anyone does have any spares for sale then please let me know that isnt silly money. Thanks

Thanks - will try the Woolshed, -

I also dont have a ticket for the game so any last minute cancelations in the away end for sale (at not silly money) I would defo be interested.

U want to do a pub crawl in honour of a mad crazy drunken b.a..stard ? It includes The Palace Bar where he regularly drank...and got into fights. He's long dead now, but you can raise a glass to a rainbow flag bloke before the rainbow flags existed. He drank at the Palace And he never supported Brighton. We could call him a South London boy cos he did time at Brixton prison.

Brendan Behan Never lost a fight, but the booze killed him at 41. Shane McGowan was only a wuss.

You will all be familiar with Queen Victoria's visit to The Crystal Palace. But perhaps less familiar with a Dublin song about the dignitaries taking her to visit the Red Light district.
