ah now cmon. It would be rude not to. When in Rome and all that. If the Croydon boys wander across the Wild West of Dublin and keep their hands in their pockets, it will make the newspapers. A crime free day in Dublin/Croydon......as rare as an Eagle's tooth.

Im travelling to Dublin but dont have a ticket, do you reckon there will be touts out there? I do not mind sitting in the home end.

I don’t know either way about touts for this game but it’s just worth putting the word out during your travel there and once you arrive in Dublin. Chances are there will be a spare one floating around amongst genuine supporters (home or away).

I ended up having two spare in Frederikstad, which I gave away to Palace fans on the day and I had a Home area ticket for Strasbourg but was offered an away ticket in the pub we were drinking in a couple of hours before the game. The group next to us had ended up with a spare ticket and wouldn’t even take anything for it.

Also keep an eye on here for supporters ending up out there with one going spare.

And it could still be blamed on immigrants 🙂 👍
yes. We will blame it on the English. Bloody foreigners. Coming over here and building Palaces in our Parks.

Bloody Brits......awarding our Crystal Palace architects second prize to Joseph Bleedin Paxton..... And not even having the decency to put a football team into our Glasshouses.

Just a heads up especially for anyone flying into Dublin airport, there will be a week long disruption to taxi services in Dublin and on Thursday there won’t be any taxis from 4.30pm til 7.30pm. I’m not tech savvy to put up the details but anyone seeking further information could google rte news and it’s on that.

Nice one that’s good to know, there are 4 of us going so will be tough to get everyone on the ground. Having a chat with people in the pub is the way forward I reckon. Thanks

It could cause serious traffic disruption too. It's really pissed me off.

The Taxi industrial action is a protest about Uber. I would opt for the Aircoach bus into various dublin destinations. The bus stand is right beside the airport-pub, which helps when you sometimes must wait 45 mins for your connection.

Update re that taxi strike in Dublin - they have just agreed to suspend their action while they have talks with the government next week. Sorry if I gave anyone a scare was just trying to be helpful.

Any palace fans making the trip that didn’t manage to get a ticket? I booked flights and a hotel a while back in the hope that I’d get a ticket but was unsuccessful

Hoping there will be a good amount of palace fans in the city centre

I'm wondering what the best pub would be, with a covered smoking area and screen outside.

Any ideas?

I know there is a meet up (for us Irish based fans) prior to the game. I also know that most of us have tickets in the home end.

Anyone at all worried about the email we got shortly after the tickets were sold saying they'll refuse entry to away fans in the home end?

To be fair I went to one of the other Shelbourne games, simply because we had to buy three tickets and I was surrounded by kids, so it's not like there is going to be any bother at all.
