Doncaster Rovers v Crystal Palace Match Thread

Agree that this was a professional performance and good to see some players come back...

... we've now got 4 home games between now and 8th March*. If we can sort out our home performances (and those players coming back plus Chilwell may well help with this), then we could have a decent second-half of season.

* then there's a gap to April.

Crucial month ahead!

I thought Kamada put in a very tidy performance. In fact, I thought he was excellent. I think the stats would show well in his favour.
He never wins a tackle, losing possession much too easy, running around in circles seemingly without any purpose. Probably a decent player, but not up to Premier League standard. Think that goes for E. Nkteah as well...

When he made that run in the box near the end it was nice to see Ollie calling to him and applauding him for it. Aldo nice to see Lacroix pushing him forward to the fans after the game. Clearly they all feel for the kid after what he’s been through.

Slightly odd, but for me it was highlight of the game. Shows how together the club is.

Get the sense that its a really tight knit group

After watching Forest being taken to penalties at Exeter last night we should be grateful that we didn't get embroiled in any similar dramas, and put the game to bed fairly comfortably.

A chap called Joe Whitworth had a good game in goal for Exeter!

I was thinking the same, Whitworth had a good game - although his Penalty saving looks like it needs work, looked like to me that he was too easy to read which way he would be diving.

the 4 Forest penalties were excellent last night, however, young Joe does generally have a very good penalty save record, both for us and also in the early days at Exeter.

Thought he was a bit weak for the first Forest goal tbh

Hi All,

Hope this is the right place to put it. I only watched the highlights of this, not the full 90 minutes.
I work with a guy who has connections within Doncaster Rovers. I was in a meeting with him and I mentioned how I thought Luke Molyneux looked decent for a league two side and they might struggle to keep him.
He wouldn't give me a name but did say that after the match Palace had been in touch with the club to enquire about if one of their players would be available and the potential cost, but he did say it wasn't the one I mentioned.

Did anyone who watched the full 90 minutes see any player who stood out for their side? I'm guessing (so may be wrong) it'd probably be a younger player.

Thanks in advance.

As a Donny fan growing up, I'm not sure I noticed anyone who I thought might be up for the CPFC squad. I think we can rule out Billy Sharp... James Maxwell (23 yrs old) Left back maybe...

We've seen Luke Molyneux before (CPFC vs Hartlepool in the cup) - I also reckon he's Donny's best player at the moment.

Rob Street was playing...

I did not focus on the away players.

If some 18 year old kid came on with 20 mins to go and did not embarrass himself, that would be the one.

Lol, yeah imagine it wasn't Sharp. That's why I asked, as I thought maybe the 90 mins showed something the highlights didn't.
Maybe he'll tell me in time, nothing will come of it I imagine, he just made me curious when he said that.
