Crystal Palace vs. Wolverhampton match thread

It was clearly OUT when he was running with it.The referee blew his whistle, saw him kick the ball away so he had no option but to brandish a second Yellow.

From where I was sitting I wouldn't have said it was clearly out. Havent seen it back, but in real time i thought it was ON the line.

Everyone around me in the lower HOL thought it was a bit of a joke of a sending off. Still do if I'm honest.

Played poorly but got the 3 points which in the end is the most important thing. Team look devoid of confidence which only getting some wins will start to turn round. If we can win on Thursday something to build on in the last 3 months of the season. Hendo my MOTM
Played poorly but got the 3 points…I’d prefer to be a Palace fan this morning than a Forest fan…they were far superior than Liverpool but somehow lost the game. That was a true mugging.

I think the demise has happened so quickly, particularly after expectations were raised, that some fans are still in a state of shock and disbelief. We are crap - it's a hard one to take, particularly after last season.
The demise started, when Glasner started moaning his squad wasn't good enough, great confidence boost for the players. Then decided he wanted to leave and slagging off the board, the players and the fans.

A narcissist, of the highest order, a cad, bounder, and rotter.

I'm finding it incredibly difficult to take anything he says as truth or for the benefit of the team/club. It all does come across as being solely self-serving.

I wouldn't mind him being that way if his desire was to be ruthlessly successful in every endeavour, as that would also be in our interests whilst he's here. He does seem to be looking ahead though, beyond Palace, and therefore anything he says I believe is in the interest of his career beyond here and not in the job he is doing atm.

Just Watched the full 90..
1st half, the amount of careless passes was extraordinary, and often in promising positions. either missed players feet, not on same wavelength as our teammates, straight to the oppo, or simply a blind pass forward(Wharton did this a lot!). we gave possession back to them so frequently. Pino was Lightweight and ineffective, Hughes always seemed 20 cms short of everything, and how Wharton didn't go for the penalty, i've no idea. Clear denial of goal scoring opportunity, with no covering defenders.

Thought the defence had a good game, broadly speaking, Canvot and Riad were pretty solid, alongside Richards. helped by some bad finishing though - especially from set peices and headed chances from wolves. Mitchell had a good game.

2nd half things looked a lot better. sharper, more accurate passes, gave the ball away a lot less and created more, even before the red card. all 3 subs helped, Guessand looked lively, Kamada just makes the midfield tick better then Hughes - who's not the player he was before Kamada arrived, and Johnson started to create - I really want him to be a success here.
We only really gave them chances in the 2nd half after we scored.

all in all an unspectacular performance where showed promise until move after move broke down, and then we rode our luck on more than one occasion - against the worst performing team in the league. Thankfully we managed to break the 10 men in the end.

Many thanks to Wolves for helping us get 3 points. If they didn't have any bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all.

They certainly had the first half and we were probably lucky to come in 0-0. Thanks to Krejčí not being satisfied with one yellow decided to go for two, well done. I wonder what it was like on the coach home.

The lame penalty helped, looking at it on MOTD seemed even worse than live. Easy for Hendo
The harder save was from Richards who tried a bouncing header.

Pino has me scratching my head, could've had a couple of goals, probably looked better than most. Lost the ball for the penalty. Back to Spain or better under a new manager, not sure his central role suits him.

The subs livened things up thanks partly to being able to take a defender off. I guess Geussand will be in the starting line up Thursday.

The crowd around me were getting fed up with the long throws, lobbing the ball to giant defenders didn't seem to work.

Postives: Canvot looked good and avoided his trademark catastrophic mistakes. Chadi Raid, getting up to speed. Hughes, getting hooked off before he got sent off. Guessand, we have a player that can keep the ball down in front of goal, who'd have thunk it.

Anyway with 35 points and 11 games to go it looks like Parish's decisions are right.

Palace MoM: Krejčí

We need more positive players who want to perform for the club, forget OG and his sulking, take a look at Our Deano what an example. Never lets us down and performs as a pro at all times. Thanks Deano from me!!

In the final analysis the referee blew his whistle and Krejci booted the ball away, accordingly Thomas Kirk had no option to brandish a second 'Yellow'.

I watched the short highlights on the CPFC website. They consist of the kick off, the penalty build up and penalty, our goal and the final whistle. There is literally nothing else.

If Glasner stays on can someone please persuade him to play four at the back.
He can be adventurous and go 4-2-4 or even 442. Or 4-1-2-2-1 or any other modern day bollox, but im sure he will get my drift.
We played so much better like that yesterday.
