Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match thread

Obviously very happy with the result yesterday, but separate from that we do need to find a leader/cheerleader on the pitch. Much as I love Adam, he’s not a demonstrative captain. I know the importance of this role can be overstated, but Lacroix was really good at this and establishing a rapport with the fans. There’s no obvious candidate but I think it would help if one emerged.

Timber strikes me as ironically perfect captain material but of the inclination to not want the burden of that role (so he can just get on with his business)!

I’d love Mitchell or Richards to step up but don’t see them performing the role in that manner.

Nobody seems ‘perfect’ for the role atm but I still would like to see a few players step up as senior representatives for the team.

Probably best to wait and see who is still here for next season’s captain. Could end up being the tea lady at the rate we sell our decent players.
