Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match thread

I think that might just be it for the manager and its a shame because there have been moments when we have looked ok but you can’t play like this 2nd half and last week against Brighton and keep your job.

Totally rudderless. We had a chance when a want away stricker had some legs but as soon as he went off with McNeil that was it.

Personally I don’t know what to think. Do we give him Fulham and Spurs or just put him out of his misery. Then I ask myself who is actually there and out of those who would actually want to come here.

One things for sure it can’t go on like this. A little longer and we will be in real trouble.

Who goes first Sage or Carrick.

Hopefully that's the end of sage as we're terrible again, same mistakes, looks like he's refusing to even attempt to sort us out defensively. If he stays much longer then the blame goes to Parish.
So bizarre no one mentions Matt Hobbs name anywhere near enough on here. He is the root of all the issues.

A spirited finish, but no real heart in the first twenty minutes second half. Wharton, and Kamada, should be shot on that second goal .
.A not particularly good Newcastle came out wanting a result Palace just we’re not up to doing battle. it’s an absolute must to be prepared to battle, and win the battles, and we just don’t , add to that to many individual mistakes, the body language was pathetic . All stinks of relegation

Liverpool and Spurs next, Parish wont want to put a new manager in against tough teams, he will wait until the international break. Or he may think f_uck it, get rid now along with Hobbs.

Some posters seem to suggest that everything is ok because we are scoring occasionally. When it's pointed out we concede more at an alarming rate and as a consequence lose the game then their argument has no legs to stand on. A bit like Sage's tactics.
That's now five league games in eight in which we haven't scored a goal for ourselves. Any lingering sense that we are any good whatsoever going forward is surely dead and buried?

If we had a manager who set up for a nil-nil every week, we'd be no worse off in terms of goalscoring most weeks.

I feel sorry for Sage, he has been sold down the river by Parish and Hobbs but unfortunately he has to go, he will be unable to get anything out of this useless bunch of so called players.
We need to go back to an old school manager to keep us up playing route one football.

It was good whilst it lasted but Glasner was right.
Yeah. I don’t harbour any ill will to Sage. He’s been dealt a bad hand but played it terribly. In truth he was never the right person for this situation. He is out of his depth and needs to go.

We need a manager who can go back to basics and build around a core of solid players. Thinking the likes of Hendo, Mitchell, Kamada, JPM and maybe McNeil. Get back to basics. Four at the back. Five in midfield. McNeil down the left, Sarr down the right if mentality fit. Knock crosses into JPM or JSL and try and get enough points to stay up.

Yep. Sage has to go I’m afraid. He’s far too laid back which is great when we win but looks stupid when you can’t string a few results together. Let’s also face it. The two wins we’ve had against Fulham and Forest were flukes.

We were all so hopeful after Thursday nights performance, and it looked alright at the start of this game, I saw us getting away with a 1-0 win, but that's it, "getting away with". After half time we seemed to get a lot worse and they got better but that's all it took for them to completely control the game.

Same as the other night, two shots on target for them, two goals
