Crystal Palace vs Newcastle match thread

Let’s face it, we were hopeless until he brought the so called big guns on, at least when JP comes on as a sub he looks a bit more lively, energetic and interested
Just shows, despite spending £85 million in January, we can’t be making too many changes because we still haven’t got the strength in depth, but I can’t blame Glasner for making them after playing Thursday night

Spurs have one point from the last 8 games, the odds of them getting 13 points in the last 6 games is incalculable.
With the fixtures we have and Europe, I think it could be much closer than some might think. Another win next week would be a comfort. Results wouldn't have to be too crazy to put us 18th.

What a result, and a welcome change from the post Europe hangovers we have seen at times during the season.

Here is a picture I sent some Newcastle United supporting friends just now...

COYP!

Or 6th
🙂
Let's put it like this.

If we don't get another point, which is quite possible with our fixtures, and we maintain a superior goal difference. Ham would have to win 3 and draw 2 out of 6. Leeds 3 wins and draw 1 out of 7. Forest 3 wins and 1 draw out of 6. Spurs would have to win 4 and draw 1 out of 6. Spurs seems the most unlikely, but under a new manager, who knows.

It ain't over until it's mathematically over.

It’s a wind up surely isn’t it?

Delighted with the win but we were so lacking in creativity before the substitutions, with only Pino offering anything inventive or unexpected. I thought he had a decent game though some others around me did not. I felt for Larsen as he put the effort in, but he had a stinker and was completely shown up by JP when he came on. Johnson is worrying, but he has shown a lot of ability earlier in his career and I just hope he finds the self-belief to deliver at the top of his ability, whatever that looks like. He wasn't terrible, but simply didn't do enough today. I though Hughesy had one of the worst games I have seen him play for us. A real positive for me was Canvot, despite the odd mistake. I am wondering whether he is going to take on Marc's mantle of being the football-playing centre-back. He was by far the most enterprising of our back 3, and at only 19 I think he could turn into a brilliant player. Well done Palace.

I haven't looked at it in any detail at all. But a gut feeling says that some of those clubs must play each other, so an outcome of them all overtaking Palace isn't mathematically possible.
I'm here to be shot down 🙂

Or win our game in hand and we are 3 points off 6th . Suppose it depends how you look at it , I'm a looking up sort of person .We seem to have our collective edge back that we saw during our long unbeaten run (defeat to West Ham coming up) and am confident of a top half finish .
