There's money in places so let's hope for a strong finish to the season

Whoever was involved in our january transfers should be hung out to dry. What a shocking waste of money.By wasting £109m on that starting front three?!
I hope they all come good but that 70 minutes was abysmal by them in terms of effort as well as skill.

Did you card yourself though? This bloke obviously knows f*** all about football the c***!

whew, hod did we win that one
I think he would LABOUR with this teamDo you fancy Glen HOD DLE as manager. 😉
I take the point about Mateta having better options with Wharton and Sarr on as well, but he did bully the Newcastle defence in a way that Strand Larsen could not and definitely gave us impetus at a crucial time. We now have game changers on the bench which has previously not been the case.Mateta had the benefit of Wharton and Sarr coming on just before him, Strand Larsen had to play without them and next to no service. I'd agree that the difference between Sarr and Johnson as it stands is extremely marked.

Interesting comment. Yes, Mateta, Sarr and Wharton are useful players to bring on halfway through the second half. In that sense the Manager's squad rotation worked. If we'd lost, it wouldn't have looked too clever. He needs to learn the Hughes & Lerma are pull on subs not starters
Johnson is a nowhere man
Munoz is not 100% just yet

Well the answer is that we could finish 18th, but we probably won't.We are safe.

Nothing to do with being a doomsayer. If you achieve less than 40 points you run the risk of creating your own bit of doom.Newcastle are a poor side now they are out of European competition ,for all the discussion about two games a week I think it actually suited them more than most .With nothing to play for they have lost motivation .
It didn't take a lot to put them in their place once we made the subs ,good team juggling from Glasner .
Hope the doomsayers are happy now we have 40 + COYP !
Spurs have one point from the last 8 games, the odds of them getting 13 points in the last 6 games is incalculable.Well the answer is that we could finish 18th, but we probably won't.

Being a pain in the arse for opposition !Mateta was back to his good hold up play ,good lay offs and general hustle winning free kicks .

Err, didn't we both🤔Just cannot understanding the starting selection today, clearly and thank goodness the subs changed the game and big thank you to them for securing all three points. The selections bugs me, as the three points today were more important to the club and yet it seems OG preference is for the European games to boost his own cv?

we were slating him early on this season for not rotating players, now he does still gets slated. Makes a change for us to have decent players to bring on to try and change a game.Just cannot understanding the starting selection today, clearly and thank goodness the subs changed the game and big thank you to them for securing all three points. I know 40 points is seen as the benchmark for survival but the reality is its lower than that .Looking at the table and fixtures its likely this season will be much like 80% of seasons when 38 would be enoughNothing to do with being a doomsayer. If you achieve less than 40 points you run the risk of creating your own bit of doom.
42 points pretty much secures our lower mid table position. Every Palace fan should be happy and breathe a collective sigh of relief that the shenanigans of our manager and Mateta have not unduly impacted our league survival.
The Conference is the remaining challenge and then the wait to see who is joining us as manager what style of football he plays and which players stick with us.
Interesting 4 or so months ahead.
