Clearly not yet. He cost a lot of money, we cant simply pull the plug.

It in our interests to help him find some form.

He's shown that he can assist and score at the level, just hasn't happened here yet. Doesn't mean it wont.

There are always anomalies like Foden for England as opposed to playing for Citeh. Lots of other examples if you look hard enough. Sometimes a player just doesn’t suit a team.

I think sometimes when a club spends so much on a player, managers can be under pressure to play them. The biggest problem I see with Johnson is he’s got a touch of the Benteke’s, he looks lazy and uninterested and it’s hard to get behind a player like that, Pino might struggle, but at least he puts a shift in and is always involved and tries to make something happen, when you look at Johnson, can you honestly say that’s a player giving his all for the shirt? Fans will get behind any player, but if they look like they’re coasting they’re going to get stick

Johnson's body language is poor, but he's hardly the first - Julian Gray is my all time favourite for looking disinterested.

He clearly is a player who needs an arm around him, rather than a hairdryer, and any half decent manager will know this.

Having said that i do think he is coasting a bit. There were many times on Sunday, and previous games, when Mitch has had the ball in an advanced position and i've looked for Johnson and he seems to be hiding behind a defender and not giving Mitch an option.

Now i know it's a (slightly) new position for him etc, however, he's been with us for over 4 months now and it's not rocket science to make yourself available when a team mate has the ball.

Similarly, he is fast so why not attempt a run behind the defence? If the ball doesn't come, fair enough, but the only time i can think of him doing this was v Villa in early Jan.

Not only has he not scored for us i'm struggling to think of many chances he's had. Maybe the header v West Ham , which he got all wrong.

Johnson was an expensive signing supposed to come in readly to play in PL immediately, no adpating to a new country or league etc.
He has been poor without any real excuses, lack of confidence is his own issue to solves while he pockets the cash.
Giving him grief from the stands won't help, but he seems to be sleepwalking to his hols now
