Agreed. Parish is the same man who was Chairman when we won the F.A. Cup in May. Glasner is merely an episode, glorious as it was for a while. Parish is the continuity. You can't 'vote him out', neither should he be. He's been a huge asset to Palace during his tenure. Of course, he gets things wrong, but he gets more right. He appointed Glasner for good (plenty of that until about eight games ago) and ill (2 points from the last 24).
We have really struggled in the third tier European competition. Has it been worth it? I'd suggest not. It's only worth taking part in if its won. Otherwise it's a distraction and has merely led to players being overworked and getting injured. That said, a home defeat to Larnica suggests that the manager doesn't have the sort of tactical flexibility that would help. The suggestion that Glasner might eschew tactical flexibility because he wants to make a point to the Board is alarming in the extreme, if true.
I think that Glasner should not be sacked. He got us into this mess and he can get us out of it. The manager's job is to do the best with what's available. Not to tell the Chairman what should be available. Get on with your job, man.
