yes today did hurt. But Brentford are very good. So no shame there.

Thing is. Even with playing below par he is still creating more than any of the others. Today he laid on our only good first half chance and hit the post second half from a free kick he won by taking on their defence. It is very frustrating to see him waste good positions but he’s literally all we have creatively. Dropping him would make us worseSurely Glasner got to talk to Eze and demand more…. So many good openings and he fluffs them, maybe even drop him as these s*** performances are happening too often.
Except when we beat them 3-1 last season at home.I really don’t like playing Brentford. We have never had a good game against them in PL.
Doesn't matter, that was last season, this is this season. 0-2 & 1-2 6 points lost.Except when we beat them 3-1 last season at home.
He is a long way below his best that’s for sure. Much rather have him playing than either Nketiah or Kamada. Don’t think creative number 10 is really Kamada’s thing. Nketiah sadly just doesn’t really look like a Premier League player right now.A poor game in atrocious conditions, Brentford had enough luck to get the win. I have never rated Richards, although today's result wasn't his fault, as they all seemed off it. As for Eze, same old - even his deadball ability eluded him today. I wonder what the club intends to do, what with Nketiah, Kamada, and Esse all brought in to play an attacking role. If a sensible offer comes in for Eze I'd be tempted to let him go, he's way off what he's shown previously.
It would also be nice to have somebody, anybody, who can cross the ball well. Our crossing today was really poor. The one decent cross we put in we scored fromIt's a bit of an indictment on the lack of creativity in the team that, even when he's out of form, Eze is still our most likely source of creativity.
Brentford's defence dealt quite comfortably with our attack.
Neither of our wing backs created much (although Munoz did cross the ball for our goal).
I hope that we do manage to buy another LWB in the window.
Not because I think Mitchell is a bad player; far from it.
It's just that on a day like today it would be beneficial to have a driving presence down the left with real thrust when we are chasing/ trying to win games.
You start to wonder what his thing is. Just passing the ball around is a bit low for a player who has been on the wishlist to liven up the attack. But well, today he was on a par with everyone else. Which says more about the team's performance than him .......He is a long way below his best that’s for sure. Much rather have him playing than either Nketiah or Kamada. Esse started well though! Some people very much like the goals per minutes stat and he’s doing ok there

Yes it is a bit difficult to see where he fits in OG’s system. Not really suited for the front three nor the midfield two, though he did ok against West Ham. Same with Nketiah. Not suited to being the lone front man nor as one of the number 10s. Both strange acquisitions. Ours now though so they either have to adapt to the system or we need to move them on in the summer. You start to wonder what his thing is. Norwegian not at all. Dutch a little bit, so the general meaning of newspaper articles .....hey Hannes,
what percentage of Norwegian would you understand. Say, a newsreader on the telly ? 50% or more ?
To be clear, the gist of my post was that the club brought in these players, all who perform a similar function, playing in the top half of the formation. I wasn't suggesting they replace Eze as number 10 (although I think this may well happen), more that Eze's form is poor and really how patient is OG in starting him every game? It wouldn't surprise me to see Esse get the nod.He is a long way below his best that’s for sure. Much rather have him playing than either Nketiah or Kamada. Don't worry about PV, he confuses most of us at the best of times.Norwegian not at all. Dutch a little bit, so the general meaning of newspaper articles .....

Yes I agree with you on all points. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eze was dropped. What we don’t know is what will work to get the best from him. For some a kick up the backside is what they need. For others an arm around the shoulder. To be clear, the gist of my post was that the club brought in these players, all who perform a similar function, playing in the top half of the formation. As for Nketiah, I don't rate him, but in his defence he hardly gets a chance to settle into a game coming on for 10 minutes. Why did the club pay £25m for a sub? He's never going to displace Mateta while Mateta is at the club.
