Interesting pointYes I agree with you on all points. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eze was dropped. What we don’t know is what will work to get the best from him. For some a kick up the backside is what they need. For others an arm around the shoulder.
Are you for real - it's the same for both teams..The players with the skills always look worse in poor weather conditions and its been a dog of day .
I don’t know about Nketiah lacking heart and desire. If anything he looks like he’s over trying hence giving away silly free kicks. Today he ran around with no structure and was out of position all the time. Not through lack of effort though.Disappointing is how I would sum that up. 2 teams that shut each other out. Our crossing was poor as others have said. We miss fire in the middle. Wharton and one other would be useful. Gallagher and olise were winners, Chalobah helped as well. Esse bless him got caught in the moment and who can blame him but Olise would not have even celebrated. Nketiah gave a foul, kept the ball and argued with the ref, mateta ran up took the ball and gave it back to Brentford to say let’s hurray. Respect to mateta but I have to question nketiah heart and desire for the team. I still feel he plays for himself. Shame Glasner doesn’t have more options
Right now looking at the squad I’d play him in his position. Even playing like he is Eze is the best and only source of creativity we have. If OG were to drop him, which I think is unlikely, I imagine he’d play KamadaInteresting point
Q? WHO would you play in his position?
Unless we see something in the second half of the season to suggest otherwise then I’m afraid Nketiah has been a very poor buy. He does not suit the style of football that we play, same with Kamada. To be clear, the gist of my post was that the club brought in these players, all who perform a similar function, playing in the top half of the formation. I wasn't suggesting they replace Eze as number 10 (although I think this may well happen), more that Eze's form is poor and really how patient is OG in starting him every game? It wouldn't surprise me to see Esse get the nod.
As for Nketiah, I don't rate him, but in his defence he hardly gets a chance to settle into a game coming on for 10 minutes. Why did the club pay £25m for a sub? He's never going to displace Mateta while Mateta is at the club.
Rather churlish to begrudge Esse celebrating his first Premier goal with his first touch.Disappointing is how I would sum that up. 2 teams that shut each other out. To be fair that isn’t the first time VAR has intervened on encroachment. It’s in the rules so just don’t go in the box or the D. That was an error by Guehi. It was frustrating but VAR got it rightAre you for real - it's the same for both teams..
Be honest other than Henderson and Esse we were awful today..!!
Then to cap it all we get one of the most ridiculous of VAR decisions - has that ever happened before - joke..!!
But we have only ourselves to blame we were woeful; Munoz - non existent, Lacroix - why even make that challenge, Guehi - poor again, Mitchell - can't pass, Lerma - so limited, Hughes - one of his worst games for ages, Eze - absolute waste of space, Sarr - did nothing, Mateta - had no service, Nketiah - how much did we actually pay for him - useless.!!
Bottom line we were awful..!!
me confundo todo el mundo.Don't worry about PV, he confuses most of us at the best of times.

Doesn't matter, he encroached.I take your point that MG was encroaching but he was attempting to stop Mbuemo from striking the ball who himself was in an offside position after hitting the post
On that front it feels harsh VAR wanted to penalise us without scrutinising Brentford’s play as all Mbuemo had to do to be off is show intent to play the ball.
Happy to be proved wrong though!
What I haven’t seen is a penalty chalked off for an encroachment by an attacking player. Granted, Guehi was about 2 foot inside the circle however one of the Brentford players was also just inside the encroachment area. So, do they get it in their favour because Guehi encroached by more? It should be like conversions in rugby and you can start moving as soon as the penalty taker starts moving. It might stop some of those ridiculous stutter step penalties as well.To be fair that isn’t the first time VAR has intervened on encroachment. It’s in the rules so just don’t go in the box or the D. My understanding is that the encroachment takes place before the penalty is taken so it then becomes irrelevant what happens afterwards. It’s like a pre-snap penalty in NFL.I take your point that MG was encroaching but he was attempting to stop Mbuemo from striking the ball who himself was in an offside position after hitting the post

It should be I agree. I liked it when they cut out the stutter run up as well. However, right now the rules are clear and it was the right decision even though it is very annoyingWhat I haven’t seen is a penalty chalked off for an encroachment by an attacking player. As were Brentford , it was an awful game in awful conditions . They will be saying the same of their players ,the only difference is they went home with the points . We could have won that on another day ,it wouldn't have made our performance any better though would maybe have resulted in comments such as a decent result in terrible conditions rather than everyone was awful .Are you for real - it's the same for both teams..

Yes. I saw that. He is either not on the case or as you say, playing for himself. Either does not alter the fact that he is to date a very low achiever.Disappointing is how I would sum that up. 2 teams that shut each other out. Our crossing was poor as others have said.
