Crystal Palace v Everton Match Thread

Yep. We didn’t get rub of green with that crazy disallowed goal but such is life…who knows if we would have won even if that stood.

I don’t rate Mitchell, he’s a reasonable defender but has no feel for the ball and is probably the worst wing-back in the Premiership particularly with crosses which are 90% terrible.

His throw-in mistake today was unfortunate. In a way I don’t blame him for it. A chaos moment that happens to us all.

I dislike Everton.

Well for all the credit OG gets for our general form he has to take criticism for our home form this season. We’ve played well at home precisely once against Spurs. Other than that we’ve been so poor at home. Even when we beat Southampton they were the better team for a lot of it. We just never, ever seem to control the game and be ruthless and always have a soft goal or two in us. The last 20 minutes today was incredibly poor. We let it drift and you just knew Everton would score. That was three points we handed them through a combination of dreadful finishing, stupid individual errors, poor defending at critical times and nobody taking the game on at vital stages.

Our home form has been poor for a number of seasons now.
People always make a big deal of the atmosphere we create at Selhurst Park but it would appear it does very little to inspire performance on the pitch.

Everton are crap they really are. So disappointing to lose this one. One positive to take from it is that it's clear that Chilwell is a far better option than Mitchell.

Lazy, half-ar5ed, half hearted, disinterested, unprofessional performance.

Manager has to take responsibility for this one.
Or ‘a home game’ as it is called. We’ve been excellent away recently but terrible at home all season except for the Spurs game. Clearly something isn’t right in the way we are approaching the home games
