CPISA updates

The club have said today that they have taken up the full allocation of tickets for the Everton away match on Sat 28th September however they will not be providing free coach travel. This is due to the very high cost of quotations they received from coach companies.
Not unexpected. A multi million business paying players millions of pounds but they can’t pay for coaches. Shows where their priorities lie. Pretty shameful

Hi Pierre,

First of all thank you to yourself and your colleagues for the work you do in representing the fans.

I have an issue that, if possible, I would like to have addressed.

I opted out of having season ticket funds returned to me after the Covid outbreak. Instead I agreed for those funds to be used towards the Academy development. The Club stated that in return those contributing would receive an invitation to tour the Academy and their names would be put on bricks on a ' founders wall '.

My partner, my son and my daughter also did this. Three of us received an acknowledgement from the Club and a ' founder members ' badge ( my daughter didn't ! ), but all this time later no further communication from Palace. Pretty shoddy I think.
My son and I did the same and had no response about a tour either. Sort of forgot about it but I at least want to see our name on the wall.

Tours of the Academy have been suspended by the club as their is still a lot of building work being done their at the moment. When the work is completed tours will re-commence. When that will be we do not know.

TBF, coach companies are upping the ante on prices where Football trips are concerned. A well known local publican who organises trips was nearly ripped off & would have had to charge pax £75pp which is extortionate & they wanted to have 2 drivers because they wouldn't stop at where he had arranged so people could have a meal/drinks. Redwing, who Palace use a lot, have cut their fleet back & raised prices.

We at CPISA have released a statement regarding digital ticketing at CPFC.
We sent it to the club yesterday.
You can read it on our website
Or on the 'Athletic' Sports publication.

Can you discuss with your colleagues regarding the ridiculous situation regarding ticket sales, highlighted on other threads. Something that should be urgently brought up with the club. Thanks
Apologies just seen your post on other thread

CPISA have this morning sent a statement to the club regarding the extremely poor, confusing method used to sell the 34,000 tickets for our Semi Final against Aston Villa at Wembley later this month. It has only confused supporters, helped to divide groups and families and it appears to supporters to be a direct exercise to extract more money from its existing loyal fanbase who already solidly support the club both home and away.

You weren't interested when I pointed out to you how the club has been "extracting money from its existing loyal fan base" in another instance.

As you will have seen the ticket prices for the cup final have been significantly increased this year. CPISA are concerned by the price increases that have been applied and we wanted to ensure that we represented the interests of Palace fans in regards to this. There’s a great article by Matt Woosnam in the Athletic regarding this and CPISA have made a statement in this.

From our perspective it feels like loyal supporters are gradually being priced out of football and that is something we are concerned about. In addition to the Athletic article CPISA have also been in touch with the FSA and we hope to work with City’s Supporter Trust also. It is really important that we fight for our right to continue to be involved in our game to ensure that we are able to continue to attend matches and especially those key events that matter so much to us as fans not just for ourselves but for generations to come. In this case this year’s price hike particularly affects us as after this prices will be held for 3 years so it feels even more punitive.

here’s our statement

“The Football Association (FA) are pricing loyal supporters out of being able to attend the cup final. These increases should, if they have to be applied at all, only be in line with inflation.

”Fans having supported their teams, many for decades both home and away, should not be exploited in this way by our own association in what is a showcase final at the home of football shown live to millions of people live around the globe on television for a huge fee in itself.”
