Conference League- QF

Really??.. I'm not saying i dont believe you but I've looked everywhere and flying out to Florence from any of the London Airports on the Wednesday and coming back Friday and the cheapest price I can find is £685 return.
I was looking on the Kiwi app on Thursday night. Of course it may have changed already and I’ll have to check again, I really hope it hasn’t gone like that already.

I always use Kiwi they are quite good for prices. Also they offer auto check in for about a score extra which saves you many hours in the airport.

Yes it’s already a bit worse than when I looked on Thursday. I’m looking for a four day trip by the way. Going 14th, coming back 18th.

It’s now coming up as 150 each way, and now only with a layover whereas I could’ve got direct if I booked Thursday night. Only 1hr layover though. Via Switzerland on the way, Via Austria on the way back.

I think I will get on the phone with my party and try and sort it now 😄

I tend to use Skyscanner - find it quite useful - looked just now, this was going out Wednesday & coming back on the Friday 1774089031091.webp

Ah ok going 14th and coming back 18th makes sense with it being so cheap.
Thing is when I looked online when were 1 up at half time on Thursday it was £200 return to Florence from Gatwick.

Woke up Friday morning and they were nearly £700!! It's disgraceful it really is.
That's why I looked at Birmingham. £120 return. Parking at the Airport is only £50 and diesel will only be £80 so split between 3 of us it only works out at around £165 each which is good.

Ahh, yeah I don’t drive and the train to Brum is astronomical especially when it’s relatively close to the date like with this. I used to do it quite a bit, my partner at the time was shipped out there by the council.

Brum and Notts/Derby I have done by train frequently over the years, and all three were through the roof.

Which dates are you aiming for Ken?

No news from CPFC on how ticketing will work yet. Anyone ITK on when we might know something?

Myself I’m keen to book the flights right away, but my Dad doesn’t wanna commit if there’s a chance we won’t have match tickets, so I’m stuck until then.

There is the option to lock in my booking and price for three days for 60 quid, which I could do, but if I still won’t know anything by then than it’s a waste of money.

Ah if you don't drive then fair enough. As you say train is silly money!
So we're going out on the Wednesday morning. We fly from Brum at 6am to Pisa, so an early start then it's just a 45 minute train ride from Pisa to Florence. Only €10 for the train as well. We will be in Florence about 11am.

Then fly back Friday at midday. Land in Brum about 2pm so decent flight time home.

Could of got it cheaper if we had stayed longer like yourself but unable to.duebto work etc.

As for match tickets I think unless you have over at least 12,000 loyalty points you wont be getting one. I only have 6,500 so I've resigned myself to not getting one but hoping can either get one out there or just be out there to enjoy the atmosphere

Think so? Apparently it's 47k capacity, so surely they will offer more away allocation than the other smaller stadiums we've been playing at so far?
Larnaca away I saw 5th phase went down to 9000 points.

The capacity atm is 22,000 due to building works ongoing. Our allocation should be in the region on 1,100(5%)
When you look at thier ave home attendences for the Conf League. There may be more tickets for Palace!

UEFA rules state that away allocation is 5% of capacity.
i heard a rumour that due to limited capacity due to building works away allocations have been limited to 500. Hope this is not the case.

Incidentally - flights to PISA and then the train seems to be the standard route most people take - my daughter's friend is from Florence and travels back regularly
