Conference League- QF

Super happy to get our away tickets confirmed! Had resigned myself to going to a pub but will be amongst the 1500 purple army thanks to a legendary Italian friend!

Please can you tell me what end/section we will be in? Also, on train from Waterloo which stop is it - looks like East Croydon? Thanks

Selhurst from Victoria or Norwood Junction from London Bridge. Arthur Wait stand, lower seats are better. Upper seats have a poor view.

Why is 1200 tickets pathetic? That is the prescribed allocation for an away side due to the stadium capacity.
Errr because we gave them more. You know their best crowd in the CL so far has been 11,000 in a 22,500 capacity. It's the minimum they have to give, they can give more if they wish, they don't want to.
You'll see when the crowd is declared as like 17/18,000 with reams of empty seats/spaces. Same in Larnaca, half the away end was not used so many had to watch in bars in the city centre. It's not illegal to want to watch a football match you know! Fans seem to be an irrelevance in the modern era.

You don't quite understand the concept of the UEFA allocation rules, do you? How do you know we have given the more? Are you connected to the club/box office? Their official allocation is 1300 for the capacity of SP. Also the figure is 5% not 50% as you seem to think.

Are you dense or just pretending to be? Fredrikstad gave us 1,700 of a 10k capacity. Kyiv 3,500 of a 15k. Shelbourne 1,800 of 10k. Larnaca 700 of 8k. All the other clubs were also more accommodating in selling in home areas. 5% is the minimum UEFA advise, it can be more and has been. A Fiorentina fan has already posted we have given them 1,500. I suspect they would have got more if they'd been more accommodating themselves. Hopefully the police are organised to deal with 2,000 Palace fans in the city centre. Having experienced Italian police watching England I'm not optimistic.

Palace are getting far more than any away team in Serie A this season, looking at the Stadium plan availability my section where I sit for home games is unavailable due to the area being given over to away supporters not that I can buy due to being from the UK.

Yes I understand that but many Palace fans have committed to flights and hotels to be there so comparing with Serie A games is not really relevant, and they play each other every season anyway. However it's crazy you can't buy with a booking record. We have had great experiences at the clubs and grounds visited so far, this is an unwelcome reality check, a glass fenced cage that can't be extended to house more.

I agree that you can’t compare Serie A games at Fiorentina with this competition. Their attendances for the Conference League have at most been 50% of the grounds capacity.

Will Palace suggest any bars in Florence that that away supporters can watch the game? Sure they might have done this for previous European away games but might be wrong

I commented earlier that Fiorentina fans treat prestige or important games e.g. QF onwards differently. Sales indicators are that this will be a sell out or close to, hence the restricted away allocation.

Yeah I would recommend East, the trains are more frequent than Selhurst / Norwood Junction, and you jump on the bus (410 / 75) which goes closer than both anyway.

Any of the three stations work if the train is due soon. Selhurst and NJ are walking distance.

I would not recommend a bus in Croydon rush hour traffic. East Croydon then change for Selhurst. Or direct to Selhurst or NJ from London terminus. Hope you enjoy our atmosphere, but not what happens on the pitch 😉.

It's honestly a 15 min walk from East Croydon to the ground. Maybe 20 if you're slow. Also you can get an Uber for maybe £9. Download the app if you don't have it. It's a straight road down the Whitehorse more or less. I tend to get an Uber there and walk back. Depends on how much I had to drink the night before.
