Just until it gets taken down.

That he was an idiot is well established. He is hardly alone in allowing his personal to mess up his professional. What a surprise. This is the man who thought it was necessary to get hold of a co-worker in an office. His judgement might not have been the best.
Scotland
Yes but he was an idiot in whose judgement we were expected to put complete trust. That he was an idiot is well established. He is hardly alone in allowing his personal to mess up his professional.

The people we were expected to trust were the experts who appeared alongside the politicians.Yes but he was an idiot in whose judgement we were expected to put complete trust.

We elect these people to take decisions for us. That's where the trust is supposed to be.The people we were expected to trust were the experts who appeared alongside the politicians.
I didn’t trust either Johnson or Hancock, and have ample reason for that.

We trust them to hire experts and then listen to them before taking those decisions. We elect these people to take decisions for us. That's where the trust is supposed to be.

Just as we do ourselves.
I have a leak in the roof of one of my rental properties. I am hiring a roofer to fix it.

Pretty well for the country as a whole, given the appalling circumstances we faced. How did that work out with Johnson and Hancock?
Scotland
And yet you didn't trust either of them.Pretty well for the country as a whole, given the appalling circumstances we faced.
Badly for them.
England
Not in many ways but they weren’t driving the response. They were fronting the political delivery of it.And yet you didn't trust either of them.
Scotland
That's alright then. Covid aside they both did a bang up job.Not in many ways but they weren’t driving the response. They were fronting the political delivery of it.

Johnson in particular was an awful PM. Self serving with a populist approach who repeatedly lied. That's alright then. Covid aside they both did a bang up job.
Ireland
He was rather a let down to both sides of the political spectrum.Johnson in particular was an awful PM. Self serving with a populist approach who repeatedly lied.
The only thing I give credit for was in listening to expert advice during Covid.

thats the thing tho. What is wrong? Are we all going to be given a template from HoC to adhere to? What you think is wrong i, & others may not & vice-versa. There's going to be a few(lot) of black eyes/fat lips/bloodied noses if this is rolled out.People are being assimilated (by suggestion in the media) that the population should consider themselves as members of the Thought Police to self-regulate, and snitch on each other when "wrong think" is done.
Orwell was decades ahead of his time.
England
On a personal level he was an idiot. But that’s true of him in many areas. He did though, or was forced to, follow public health advice and not just let the virus rip, which seemed to be his instinct.During which time he was hospitalised with it. Maybe he didn't listen closely enough.

A couple of stories being spun in the right wing press and the usual subjects go off on another crusade.![]()
