Of course they don’t have to be. They have chosen to be. Nurses, for fairly obvious reasons, must have a command of English to be given a working visa. As does everyone who gets a working visa. Even those applying for family visas must prove they can speak, understand and write basic English. Just not at the same level as those for work.

So where this idea that there are people who don’t speak any English comes from I don’t know. It was true under EU free movement that test free entry existed, but most from the EU have basic English. Some will have it as their second language, and obviously illegals don’t get tested, but everyone else does.

So, apart from stopping the illegals, which everyone wants, what else do you think we can do, that we aren’t already doing?

What misled me was when you said:
As most have only English alongside their native language it’s got to be English speaking, or somewhere willing to accept English speakers.

The figure for non-English speakers is from, as stated, the census.

What you actually stated was:-

“How about the around 1 million people in England and Wales who reported not speaking English well or at all in the 2021 Census?”

There is a huge difference between those who don’t think they speak English well, and not at all. There are a few posting here who could be put in the “not well” category!

If you were misled by my statement then maybe you need to go to Specsavers. It seems unequivocal to me. Nurses need English to communicate with patients.

My argument is that he is quick to label people and groups as far right very quickly without proof. Yet with tyler Robinson there is mountains of proof of his left wing ideology. He says there is no proof.

It's double standard. So I will continue to call him out and his double standards whenever he labels somone far right without any proof.

Maybe you need to learn how to accept reality and not try to twist it to fit an agenda.
Keep an eye on the coast and let us know how many nurses are floating in on a daily basis.

There is a poster, Spindle, who works for the military threatening to report Palace fans to the Security Services for not taking the current government view on subjects. Ukraine war in this case, but the threat can potentially be applied to just about anything he chooses.

Calm down. Spindle puts country first, and he loves a bit of the bellicose.

It's all fine and dandy to 'tell it how it is, ' but Russia is not our friend. Don't compare our shortcomings in the West with life under Putin. You can be against war and against Putin at the same time.
Spindle might want to make more missiles, but I doubt he wants to see people die for nothing.

You really need to unsnowflake yourself a bit.

Total bs.

When I say there is no proof then it’s because none exists. Opinions not being proof. If I label someone as far right I am stating my opinion. Not offering proof. If someone confirms membership of any group universally regarded as supporting any political ideology then, whilst still not sufficient to be proven in a Court of law, it becomes much closer to being unarguable.

There is no evidence that Robinson belongs to such a group. That he decided to murder someone universally acknowledged as being on the right, doesn’t mean he automatically comes from the left. Unless, and until, we know all we have is speculation and innuendo.

The double standards are all yours.
