About 5m.I’m assuming it’s a pretty low offer - seems to have had a decent season with Torino but they’ve decided not to trigger an option to buy on the loan… a player not wanted by Ajax or Torino is not screaming quality.
But he adds some much needed depth, clearly has some pedigree, and looks a good fit for us tactically.
Assuming it is fairly low cost, looks a sensible if slightly uninspiring bit of business.
I've yet to see a poster with any enthusiasm for this guy (multiple sites) . The BBS are also meh.I’m assuming it’s a pretty low offer - seems to have had a decent season with Torino but they’ve decided not to trigger an option to buy on the loan… a player not wanted by Ajax or Torino is not screaming quality.

I’d argue better than decent price in modern football. If he is half as good as Munoz then happy daysHard to argue against it. Seems Mitchell will remain as the number 1, but we now have genuine cover which, helpfully, is of a more attacking profile which gives us options. Decent price, European experience, going to have him through his peak years.
Problem fixed and budget saved to spend elsewhere.
he's not going to look quite so cosmopolitan pictured in front of the Chicken Cottage
A bit of discreet lighting, opaque camera work and it could be Croydon Town Hall . If we provide security....he's not going to look quite so cosmopolitan pictured in front of the Chicken Cottage
That might well be the impression he leaves at Ajax, but 28 international caps in a good team, 5years successful in the German league, say it might well be he just didn’t fit at Ajax. Ajax are always at the very top of Dutch football it’s often the case that a player will just not Gell at this type of club. The same happens here at the Man Us, Man C. Chelsea.s,etc.Just messaged my Ajax season ticket holder mate. His response... 'Worst player ever. We are so happy he will leave us'.
Not a glowing endorsement!
Think we all agree that Mitchell needs back up. At that price it seems that's all it will be. I too liked the look of El Hadji Diouf who seemed an upgrade to Mitchell but with a bigger price tag. Mitchells attacking game has improved under Glasner, lets hope if continues. He played a blinder at Anfield on the last game.
