Quarter Finals, so whilst not wishing to disrespect our previous opponents, the mickey mouse phase is over, proper historic clubs in the last eight, and a home game against a club with the stature of Fiorentina is a real European night. Pino is so much better in Europe, those cute through balls inside their full back, but we make so many individual errors and the amount of times through balls are over hit, under hit or misplaced does my head in. That disjointedness is a symptom of a lack of unity from a manager who doesn't really want to be here imho, but a bit of Euro glory should hopefully be enough motivation for everyone.

Agree with this. I will pay respect to Larnaca in that despite coming from a footballing minnow country to only concede 1 goal in 7 games is very good. Also played to our weaknesses very well, i.e. low block and go for us at set pieces BUT they were horrible to play against and terrible to watch.

The QFs look as strong as they could be with Palace v Fiorentina and Mainz v Strasbourg. Rayo Vallecano and Shaktar Donestsk still in to plus shouldn't under estimate AZ where Troy Parrot has been in great goalscoring form.

Troy Parrott was never a prolific goalscorer in England but has blossomed in The Netherlands at both Excelsior and AZ Alkmaar.

It was quite evident last night that Larsen and Mateta had clearly not trained together. There was zero understanding between them. Another fault to lump on Glasner's shoulders.

I found the extra time last night both exciting and entertaining. In fact I can’t remember a Palace game like it. Absolutely bonkers. Maybe UEFA will draft in the ref from the AfCON final for the next round the keep the fans guessing WTF is going on.

Hopefully we will get him in the next round. It was like a full blown comedy show.

I think we all thought Larnaca were going to grind it out for penalties once we got into extra time, so although it was a tough watch against a poor side, at least we dug in and held our own against the intimidation and they saved us from the hell of pens 😅
