Ben Chilwell

Wouldn't be the first star in an average sized team who achieved less when transferred to a mega conglomerate. He may find his feet again with us. But...

Not a LWB. He's primarily a defender. The same as Mitchell. Who will play?

And will this mean the close of the Diouf thread? Or is this just being raised as a flag to get Sparta to sell at a reasonable price?

Chilwell has positive attributes getting forward from Left-Back.
A few years ago, Gary Neville opined that his strengths are advancing forward accordingly I have drawn the assumption that he believed Chilwell is better getting forward than defending.

Could be the plan
 
Injury history is a concern- but at 28 he could be a very useful addition for the next couple of seasons IF he stays fit.
I reckon a loan for the rest of the season might offer us a little more protection.
Dougie will undoubtedly have this all in hand.

Ah yeah, Dougie surely will, just like he did Connor Wickham, Nathan Ferguson and Matteus Franca.
 
Would rather a short term loan than a permanent move tbh. Not that I am putting much faith in an X post from a dude who probably created it in two minutes and is pretending to be an 'insider' mind.
 
To be truthful, I have heard nothing about any interest in Chilwell.
Reported interest in Ben Doak was also news to me and I mentioned this on HOL at the time.
Dazza would have informed me. 😀 😀 👍
