I believe it was against Barrow.

I'm not sure why some are against a loan move for Chilwell if we are not able to get other targets for the LWB position.
He's top quality (when fit) with excellent attacking instincts and he would certainly improve our delivery from the left.

If it's him or nobody then take him and hope he stays fit.
I wouldn't anticipate that he would replace Mitchell, but could see him getting plenty of minutes to add to our attacking options down the left side.

I mean hopefully Chilwell is over and done with by 2PM tomorrow and hopefully we send in a bid for Danilho Doekhi from Union Berlin sooner rather than later for CB Cover, but it doesn't particularly matter because they're not eligible to play tomorrow anyway - You've got to be registered within 24 hours of kick-off the next day to be eligible

Nothing against the man , as you say , He is top quality (when fit ) . He would be a good buy , i just dont like the way Chelsea turned us over with Trevor. Good cover for TM at left back who is very rarely injured, also Chilwell is a left back and not a LWB . I do trust Glasner and if he says he can do a job for us then thats good enough for me . I just hope we dont sell TM to United on deadline day and Chig is his replacement .

How exactly did Chelsea turn us over? They had a load of injuries and the opportunity to bring back a loan player. It’s hardly turning us over.

With regard to Chilwell, when fit is a top player. I would have absolutely no issue if he came to us.

The talk is to borrow him for 5 months, not buy him. Doubt we will let Mitchell go as we need the cover, either way.

Alot of money to pay for cover 100k per week , not bad . I'd nearly do it myself for half that .
 
Dont want chilwall the only team to benefit from these loan deals are chelsea have palace actually bought any chelsea player who has been loaned to us the answer is no so what the point of having him on loan and i think chelsea can cancel the loan before the end of the season so what is the actually point of having him anyway

To get him fit , turn him into a worldie and put him in the shop window , just like we did with Gallagher . Then Chelsea can sell him for an extortionate price . 🤣🤣

Well he's not going to move for less is he. The idea that he would take a cut of 50% is patently absurd and that would still see him making the same money as Eze and way more than JPM earns. If he comes, it is a short term fix for a club that has screwed up the window
He could easily be back in favour at Chelsea and Maresca could go if Chelsea do not make the Champions league.

The rumour is that it's a loan with an option to buy.

If this is true, then it's probably a good deal. Secondly, there's absolutely no way we're going to pay him $200k a week, so Chelsea is picking up some of the wages. As I see it:

1. He gets hurt - just cancel the loan and send him back (this is usually part of a loan deal)
2. He does nothing - we have a backup for Mitchell, and realize he's not the one
3. He does well, but not great. Provided us cover for the season, now he's Chelsea's problem (again).
3. He performs amazing - we have the option to buy

So for me, assuming that's the case, it's a great move.
