Ashes cricket

It seems it's going to be particularly hot for the first two days of the Adelaide test, so this time win toss and bat for 2 days. Not playing a spinner is a massive mistake but too late to do anything about that now. Play test cricket or you're going to be a laughing stock and I hope Bashir hasn’t been ruined by the way he's been managed.

He should have bowled 150 overs jn pre series matches. Bowling in the nets is not nearly close, I thought Stokes wanted him but its been so mismanaged.

You told me before. It doesn't make him any better. There are better, younger spinners playing more than him. Largely because he's not that good. He's not quick enough, doesn't get much movement, has limited spin and poor variations, also can't bat or field. Look at the Ahmed brothers, for example. Although I wonder if the IPL might take them anyway. They are dynamite in comparison. Anybody can see it. There are others too.

Not having a number of warm up matches was a mistake, I rather see him play when there are some grounds where you need a spinner and Adelaide is one.

England: Confidence dented. A couple of players still able to put something together. I'd hope for a batting resurrection, but more likely a collapse as they limp over 220. Hope I'm wrong

I'm never keen on doing the mystic meg stuff,if you predict the future always have your excuses ready. Carse is a cricketer that keeps going. England if they can hold there nerve have a fair start tomorrow they need to capitalise and not capitulate.
