Ashes cricket

And how much more miffery must there be for those who've paid to go to Australia for it? Not only a shocking batting display but they've now got to face gloating Aussies as well.
That’s the worst part, Steve Smith has always got that smug look on his face that can only be changed with a firmly placed brick straight in the kisser

Not that I’m a bad loser or anything like that 🤣

There was talk of England's preparation being inadequate. Looks like that could have played a part. They did not look ready to compete in a Test Series.
England were really two different units the batsmen should wear the "D2 cap and the bowlers impressed especially Carse and Stokes

I agree mostly, but bowling wasn't doing much in the Aussie's second innings. They could have reached four hundred if they had needed to.

Perhaps the pitch got easier.

But for the first time in decades I can't be sure as I've opted not to pay to watch an Ashes series down under.....it was near a fifty fifty decision but I thought 'feck it'.

I'm just fed up with the humiliation and then listening to the excuses from overpaid and over-talked up players.

The Crawley choice plus we are two or three quality players short.....and that's against an aging Aussie bowling attack and an average Aussie batting line up.

Agreed. Head & Labushagne were very comfortable, as was Smith when he came in. 400 was perfectly attainable the way they were set.

I watched a number of former Australian players talk about the Optus pitch before play started on Day 2. All bar none said it would be the best for batting during the afternoon of Day 2…and so it seemed.

Our batsmen needed to bat in Test mode for our second innings and give Pope, Root &/or Brook the chance to make a big Hundred.

They must have been surprised when we won the toss and decided to bat first
