Israel v Hamas

Agree, but Egypt should take in some at least. Nobody seems to criticise them for this or pressure them to take in their suffering neighbours.

I don't think the President of Egypt wants to be the guy who willingly did what Israel wanted.....that's not going to work out well internally......You could probably count his days.

My solution to work around that was to give Gaza to Egypt with a shitload of money, but neither Israel nor Egypt want that.

What's going to happen will be quite something.

That's not even close to true.

Its nearly complete because they have almost displaced everyone from the land and will now occupy it for their own.

Oh no, another musician who said some mean words - the real villains!
" The Land " being what exactly? That area currently defined as The Gaza Strip?

What is "nearly complete" as a percentage?

Where have two million people been removed to?

Apologies if I am reading what you wrote and assumed you actually meant it as written.

Obviously no mention of the IDF's latest atrocity on here, which was a 'double tap' strike on Nasser hospital in Gaza killing 20 people, including 5 journalists.

Never mind, just a 'mishap'. Let's focus on those damn protestors - they're the real villains!

They are in the UK where you actually live!

Schrodingers News Blockade. The IDF blocks journalists from entering Gaza whilst also killing them in airstrikes.

Surrender and release the hostages.

Depends on who you are.

As is history.

If you are born a Palestinian and your child have been blown up you aren't going to side with the people who did that.
It remains incredible to me how many people just unconditionally buy the narrative that Israel are the 'good guys', no matter how much evidence we see to the contrary. Some people seem to just need childishly simple narratives of 'good' and 'bad' to make sense of anything - like a Lord of the Rings movie.

It's a perfect example above when in response to Israel double-tapping (a tactic designed to maximise casualties) a hospital, you've got people talking about Hamas.

I think you have to be trolling at this point.

The journalists killed were Palestinian and already in Gaza - the IDF is blocking international journalists.

Much complicated :drunk:

Obviously no comment on the latest vile war crime.

If you have half a brain you might realise that the people 'on your side' actually aren't. It's another paradox though isn't it. The Gazans are nothing to do with Hamas, who are weak and defeated yet Hamas control everything still, and we're going to blame the IDF.

Surrender and release the hostages.

So they aren't journalists then, they are residents.

The irony

This argument is like saying the North Vietnamese aren't the VietCong......No but they were a significant part (and lots didn't have a choice)

There's never been a situation where everyone agrees on a topic, however when you are being bombed it's rare that you're going to support those doing the bombing.

People side against those attacking them even if they don't necessarily like their leadership.
The National Socialists never had more than 33 percent of any election vote. Yet no one gave a fig that two thirds weren't into them.

Powell said that if Britain had a communist government and it were invaded, he would still fight on the side of the government because he was fighting for his people not the government (how he'd feel about it now as they have been so diluted isn't known)
