Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

I had a wierd dream last night that S.P. had lost his wallet and I returned it in the nick of time before the window closes, it was clear that he had lost it all's well.
 
I think Hwang would be a good third striker option. Nketiah to come back also, easy to forget that he played well as a sub in a number of games last season with goals and assists in the FA Cup run. Think he will be good for us.

My concern mainly is attacking midfielder and centre half cover.
 
Once we get a fe signings in (which should have been done over the summer) we will be fine. End of an era with Eze. But the start of a new one with European football.

Maybe 2 more seasons before we are at the west ham level and it goes tits up.
 
Man City are now linked with Guehi- if they can offload a couple of defenders.
It’s a no brainier for them , in my view, as he immediately becomes their best defender.
I’m amazed they haven’t been in for him before.
If the story is genuine it could at least have the effect of starting a bidding war with Liverpool.
However, there’s always the possibility that Guehi would say it’s Liverpool or nobody.

Eze's move sped up as soon as there were two clubs involved so maybe that's the case for this one. Although I don't think it'll be done before Thursday as it'll leave us too short!

I don't think it will be done by Thursday but I do think it has legs However I do think an agreement could be reached. We need to replace both him and Eze and City have players we may well consider who are not or will not be first choice. They may be willing to loan at worst. Liverpool do not have a central defender suitable but Elliott is a possibility (think he is still there)

As we know our problem with players at big clubs is the wages they're getting. If he'd come Elliott is a possibility since he shows at £40,000 p/w but looking at Reiss Nelson, for no reason except he's come up before, he's on £100,000. A bit part player for Arsenal would be almost our highest paid player.

Maybe Manuel Akanji coming the other direction? 15 million is a great price for him.
At the very least he could teach our squad how to do quick mental arithmetic!

That's one I'd definitely had been interested in. A much more reasonable price than lots of other transfers recently. But he may have chosen Dortmund over us anyway.

Let's hope we've got some genuine targets.
