That's McCartney, I was Kristofferson.That was yesterday.

The fundamental issue is our infrastructure.I take the approach of Steve Parish. He's building bit by bit. In 2012 we had an amazing generational talent torn away from us, nothing we could do to stop it. We now attract talent and hold them for longer, the team is stronger, and at some point they won't want to leave, or are even less likely to. That's the plan anyway.
I was thinking Foreigner. That's McCartney, I was Kristofferson.
Agreed. What we need is a keen to invest billionaire we can trust, though I fear that is an oxymoronThe fundamental issue is our infrastructure.
Parish has done a great job, but he needs the financial backing and vision to create a stadium that will vastly increase our revenue. What we have planned is not sufficient.
Which Wrighty only did because he was getting abuse, and I didn’t blame him, because some bellends in the crowd had short memoriesDon’t think he will unless he does something silly like kiss the arsenal badge when scoring against us
Dear oh dear.I still get this feeling we are the only dumb Club to run like this.
Leicester kept all their top players and won the league. We've just won the FA Cup, we COULD get Champions League by league place finish if we kept the starting 11 and invested 100 million into the bench and competition for starting 11 because we are playing that well in Glasner's system.
But no, lets just say we are a selling club and leave it at that. There is no harm in Eze and Guehi staying another year but I can see why they won't, when we've signed one back-up left back and a Goalkeeper with 1 week before the window shutting. Maybe if we'd have done some serious business, they'd be inclined to stay and see if they can get top 4-6.
Dear oh dear.
We aren’t the only club to be run sensibly.
Leicester’s players were in demand after they won the league, not before. What happened after they won the league? Maguire, Drinkwater and right winger all left. How good have they been since? Before Leicester won the league they were almost relegated and the manager asssulted one of his players pre season. Ranieiri came in and it was a freak season. They were very good, but let’s not pretend they aimed to win the league.
We could get champions league from our regular finishing position is a bit of a leap don’t you think? There are some strongly equipped squads out there. 6-7 of them and you think we could finish 4th? Hmmm.
Every club is a selling club. The harm in keeping Eze and Guehi for another year is we could lose £40 mil on Guehi and £20 mil on Eze. No harm you say? Hmmm.
I would like to think that if OG walks away at the end of the season we would be more likely to get a Potter type manager rather than a Dyche / Pullis /Allardyce type.It is what it is. Very sad to see him go. But to be honest we have 1 more season of Glasner and then we get Dyche ball if west ham don't get him and it's back to the usual we see on a Saturday afternoon.
I would honestly leave in Ezes position too even tho I love the club to bits.
Enjoy these days and European football. It won't last forever.
Thomas Frank will be available then tooI would like to think that if OG walks away at the end of the season we would be more likely to get a Potter type manager rather than a Dyche / Pullis /Allardyce type.
Understand the frustration but we need to be realistic. Players love playing in champ league as seen as ultimate test even if you don’t win it. I have made my peace with it and glad it is not spurs. It is what we do next that mattersPalace fans seem to be taking this very well.
I'm furious that players still don't think that Palace are good enough for them. The Champions League is just another competition. Arsenal have never won it. In fact, Arsenal may be winning nothing again this season. The Emirates is a Library.
If it's about money, then surely we could pay him more.
Once again, we take two steps backward. Olise, Wan Bissaka and now Eze with Guehi to go now or next season.
Why do we bother?

Neither are going to sign a new contract. In your world, this is the position we'd be in next summer:
- Guehi walks on a free
- Glasner out of contract
- Eze 1 year left - £30m maybe?
- Mateta 1 year left - £20m maybe? Tough to get him to sign a new deal with the above 3 all walking out at the same time.
- Wharton likely to be top of a lot of shopping lists
Trying to resolve all of that in one summer, whilst throwing away ~£70m in fees for Eze/Guehi that we'd get this summer compared to next, sets us up the type of bomb season Brentford might be about to have.
Yes, we could hold on to every one and try and have the best season we'd ever have. However, even if we did pluck £100m out of the sky* and spend it we're still barely top 10 in terms of squad investment this summer, and we're still only a Munoz, Eze, Mateta, Guehi or Lacroix injury away from no chance whatsoever of the top 6.
* clearly we are in a tight spot financially. We must be, otherwise the club would've just done the El Khannouss deal anyway 2 weeks ago.
The club are absolutely right to take what sounds like £68m for Eze. The thing they now need to do is invest it well enough so that 2 years from now, we have 2 Ezes.
Rather do a Larkin.Anyone going to attempt an EJ Thribb?
Agreed to a point. However, we should’ve done our business early, we are compliant with PSR. Have a centre back and attacking playmaker on the bench for community shield. They slot in when the other 2 leave.
Now it’s hand-me-down panic stations. Hwang from Wolves as Eze replacement. Wooow.
