When one of the hotels was being attacked last year and the fire alarm was going off there was a video of all the illegal migrants in a communal room jumping up and down shouting and swearing waving machetes in the air. I am not making this up. And anyway, they’re given phones. They can order any weapon they like on the internet.

i saw one video of a tall fella walking back into an Hotel for supper. The protestors asked him his profession. He replied 'soldier'.

And therefore would he be capable of dismantling and re-assembling a rifle (blindfolded) in 90 seconds ? And Eagle, do you honestly believe he is the only trained soldier ? and do you believe that your comment above represents the worst of the danger ?

The vast majority of whom claimed asylum. Thus not even being illegal let alone invaders.

That’s not to diminish the issue but using inappropriate and inaccurate terminology isn’t helpful.

If that claim is true then it’s our failure to supervise correctly. They don’t arrive with weapons and attack. They claim asylum. Nor are they given phones. That’s commonly believed misinformation. Some charities may provide second hand phones to some who need to contact families.

Home Office policy for detainees in immigration removal centres, residential short-term holding facilities, pre-departure accommodation, or during escort for removal are allowed to retain their personal mobile phones if they meet specific restrictions (e.g., no cameras, recording, or internet capabilities). If their personal phone does not comply, they must be provided with a compliant mobile phone free of charge by the facility.
Also, a project in Rotherham has housing providers and charities collaborating to provide entry-level mobile phones to asylum seekers to help them communicate with family or support groups (it is unclear whether the ‘support groups’ include taxi-drivers of Pakistani heritage who might be able to advise on leisure activities).

Anyone with more than half a brain often looks bemused when listening to Trump. It’s difficult to keep track of the constant flipping of positions and substitution of one lie for the next.

What’s hilarious is to realise there are some here who still think Trump is doing a good job. Our own leaders are handling him as effectively as possible by massaging his enormous ego whilst trying to minimise the damage he does.

If they claim asylum, whilst their arrival is “irregular” they aren’t illegal whilst their application is processed. It’s a fact!

You can argue it ought not to be and that we need to revise our laws but right now it is.

That's all very nice but since the number of asylum seekers at the end of June was 111,084 and estimates of the number of illegal immigrants run as high as 1,200,000 it doesn't make much difference does it.
