You are quite silly. When one of the hotels was being attacked last year and the fire alarm was going off there was a video of all the illegal migrants in a communal room jumping up and down shouting and swearing waving machetes in the air. I am not making this up. And anyway, they’re given phones. They can order any weapon they like on the internet.

And therefore would he be capable of dismantling and re-assembling a rifle (blindfolded) in 90 seconds ? And Eagle, do you honestly believe he is the only trained soldier ? and do you believe that your comment above represents the worst of the danger ?

That’s not to diminish the issue but using inappropriate and inaccurate terminology isn’t helpful.

If that claim is true then it’s our failure to supervise correctly. They don’t arrive with weapons and attack. They claim asylum. Nor are they given phones. That’s commonly believed misinformation. Some charities may provide second hand phones to some who need to contact families.

If their personal phone does not comply, they must be provided with a compliant mobile phone free of charge by the facility.
Also, a project in Rotherham has housing providers and charities collaborating to provide entry-level mobile phones to asylum seekers to help them communicate with family or support groups (it is unclear whether the ‘support groups’ include taxi-drivers of Pakistani heritage who might be able to advise on leisure activities).
