Personally I’d look at Oscar Bob - he is a left footed right winger and available on a loan if you believe what is on “click bait”..!!

As I’ve previously posted I’m not a lover of loans - but if that’s the pond we’re fishing in Bob fits our requirements for depth in the squad..!!

Come on Steve - let’s get doing the do..!!

Exciting young player with electric footwork, but the big injury last year would be a concern.

Is it a big fee? I’ve read around £20m, which is about what we paid for Wharton direct from the Championship.

For a 22-year old with ~50 PL appearances, that feels pretty reasonable to me.

As much as it would be so sweet to hijack the deal as it’s Forest - I can’t see it - as much as we disagree with the decision they’re in Europa and we’re in the Conference - that could be the defining factor..!!

But I honestly think Bob could be the better option especially given our style of play..!!

We’ll see..!!

Whilst the click bait sites back in June and early July have quoted £20-25m, more recent ones (late July and early August) are saying £35-40m with one suggesting that Forest's first bid of £25m was swiftly rejected by Citeh. Forest purportedly are willing to go up to £30m but there are doubts Citeh will accept that figure. Time will tell, but what seems to be the case now is that he's not available at the £20m mark.
 
So where are the signings then? I thought that we were waiting on the outcome of the CAS decision, well that was yesterday. It’s almost like parish doesn’t have a plan imagine that
 
Did Parish actual convince himself that the squad is strong enough to compete in the Europa League and the Premiership as it stands? Or does he have a couple of signings lined up? Or will he use demotion to the Conference (it being the weakest Euro competition) as a ready made excuse not to make any more signings?
As ever wait till the final day when a couple of loans are unveiled and the classic "we did everything we could to get the signings over the line but it just wasn't to be" wheeled out once more. We'll find out soon enough.

McAtee has proven quality, plus Forest might be seen as a rival for the CL positions by City, so I doubt they'll let him go there for less than £35 million. If it's less, there'll probably be clauses including a buy-back clause (all the rage with the big clubs selling youngsters). That might prove good business anyway, as the lad does look very good. Even taking Europe out of the equation I think he'd choose Forest given the choice as they are closer to Manchester, are investing heavily in trying to climb the footballing ladder and Marinakis would probably threaten to eat his family if he didn't sign for them.
 
If we need money perhaps Parish can pawn our silverware.

Fair enough! If it's £35-40m, then 100% I agree that's overpaying.

£20-25m feels about right to me.
